Vanilla, I don’t like chocolate cake and very few places seem to do red velvet well

Depends… am I trying to please myself, or the guests as a whole?  For myself, I would love a cinnamon torte or spice cake, if I’m taking my guests into consideration, chocolate.

@LGenz:  +1 about the red velvet.  When it is good it is good, but when it is bad it tastes so artificial and greasy for some reason.  I voted vanilla!  And you can always spice it up with a fancy filling like raspberry, chocolate ganache, bavarian cream, anything

Of those options, coconut cream cake is my personal favorite!  But if you want something more crowd pleasing I would say chocolate.

I’m not a fan of yellow cake or vanilla cake.  Too sweet.  I know, it’s cake, but I like cake with more of a flavor than just Sugar Rush.

Red Velvet- as long as the frosting is cream cheese.

Traditional Finn wedding cake! It’s simple cake with layers of strawberries (and sometimes custard) and whipped cream instead of icing!

    Second choice: Lemon. Totally.

I picked Almond, with a cream cheese filling. It rocked my world! ^_^

But if I really REALLY had to choose between the other options, it would be Vanilla. Or maybe Coconut.

As long as it’s got icing on it, really…

I would go with vanilla and/or chocolate because I feel when it’s other flavors, a lot of people don’t eat it.
