I would look for photographers who have a consistent, natural feel to their photos, so that the entire wedding has a flow when you look at the pictures. Look at things like the highlights and shadows – can you see detail in both? You don’t want your dress to look like a flat white blob. Photographer B’s highlights in the skies etc seem very flat and yellow. Filters are for Instagram, not your wedding! Also look for things like balance in the composition, positioning of bodies/faces in regards to light etc. Maybe go on Pinterest and compile wedding pics you like, and note what you like about them. I feel like you can do a lot better than these 2, even on a budget.

Wow, that is a LOT of Diffuse Glow with A. Ouch.

The two big factors are location and budget. If a larger company (like George Street) photographs in your wedding area, you may want to check with them — you can usually get more bang for your buck that way, there’s at least some quality consistency, and they match you with a photographer based on your input.

I really don’t think B’s pics are that much better than A’s…but to be totally honest I don’t think either are amazing. I know your wedding is quite small but in my opinion 3 hours is really not much… we had our photographer for 9 hours in the end and he still left earlier than I would have liked.
