@chillinchillin:  for me, it would depend on what size stone you would get. What are you thinking of?

I considered all of this and still want an amora gem on some level even though I ended up with a GORGEOUS untreated yellow sapphire lol I was going to go with a FB moissy but I would prob consider a lab created white sapphire too. White sapphires do not sparkle like a moissy tho (based purely on pictures, I don’t own either), they are both very pretty but if you want sparkle I’d go with the FB. My 2 cents =)

Get a CZ if you know you’ll be replacing it. Nobody will know.

I’d go with an asha because you know it will eventually be replaced.  The only thing that made me think twice about an asha was not based on what it looked like (IMO it looks the best out of moissanite, FB, etc..) but I’ve heard it’s not as durable and not up to par to be a “forever stone/”  If I knew I was replacing it then I would have no qualms with getting an Asha.

@chillinchillin:  honestly with a stone that large, I would just get a CZ now. They look really nice and nobody will be able to tell that its not “real” or whatever. I would swap out for the amora gem as soon as you get it though so dont wait a few years to do it. Anything else in the 1.5 carat range and a low budget will really end up looking like what you paid for it (IMO.) Also, I would not pay a ton for a stone just to swap out…becasue what is the point of that?!

@chillinchillin:  I think you should go with an asha! That’s what I would’ve done if my Fiance would  have been up for changing out my center stone. As is, I went with an amora moissy and am planning on getting an Amoragem 3 stone RHR! 🙂

I’m curious as to why so many people voted Forever Brilliant over Amora moissanite! Is it the cost, I wonder?

I’d go for an asha, if I knew we were replacing it. Ashas are beautiful, and the timeline should work well!

I would get a CZ. Why spend a lot when you’re planning on replacing it?

@chillinchillin:  oh that’s interesting! I have never seen one in person, I was just going off of video and pics I’ve seen online. Do you want to keep the stone you originally get? Because that would influence my decision too. I know you’re replacing it but if you still want to keep the original stone for emotional reasons or anything, I’d factor in how it’d hold up.
