What are you looking for people to wear? I feel like “semi-formal” and “cocktail” imply two different things to me.
I feel like that implies kind of standard wedding attire, which to me would be short dress and shirt/tie. To me, cocktail definitely implies those, while semi-formal would be a bit dressier, as in full suit but not a tux. Definitions can be subjective though.
I voted for the second option, but I would prob wear a cocktail dress and Fiance would wear a suit/tie. He always wears a jacket to weddings unless we know the dress is casual.
Well, basically, I don’t want people showing up to my wedding in jeans/casual skirts/etc. What would you write in for that?
I think either one by itself would be fine. Either “Cocktail attire” or “Semi-formal attire”.
I think we will put our attire on the website and put website info in the invite. It isn’t very common in my area to list attire on the invite itself. People usually just assume cocktail if it isn’t specified in my experience. The exception is FI’s family. They are a bit more casual in general.
