As I sit here waiting for my Fiance to pick me up for another go at making a registry, I cannot stop lusting over this beautiful pattern:
I can’t get over how cute it is! I spent a few days lurking WeddingBee before I signed up, lol, and I’ve seen at least two people say that they’re registered for Chirp. Do you consider it everyday or formal china? Just wondering! I feel like it could go both ways, but the mugs and cereal bowls make me lean towards everyday.

those are super cute!!! Iwould use those every day!

Very cute set! I confess I just looked it up on Bed Bath & Beyond’s website, and it’s certainly priced like fine china! If you register for this set, I don’t recommend registering for any other fine china, because you’ll probably get some confused guests wondering which is which, and you might end up getting half of each set. Anyway there’s no rule that says you can’t use your fine China every day. 🙂

I registered for Chirp for my everyday china. Bone china is actually stronger than stoneware, and it doesn’t have a metal rim, so it is totally useable for everyday.
I also registered for very formal china in addition to Chirp. It probably is a bit confusing to the guests, and with a month to go, I’ve only received one piece from the fine china, while I’ve received half of the Chirp already. That said, I love china so much I’ll spend all of our gift cards on finishing my set of the formal china.
But jenbrandner is right that is has probably confused some people. If there is no formal pattern you are crazy about, the Chirp can be your formal china.

Thanks for all of the input (and compliments!) guys. Yes, I agree, the price of this china is VERY expensive… I think if I find a formal pattern that Fiance and I can agree on, I’ll register for 5-piece sets of the formal, and then do all four pieces of the chirp individually, i.e. register for 8 mugs, 8 bowls, etc.
And @monita: I hope you get all of it girl! You are so sweet, I see you posting on here from time to time and I always love what you have to say. <333

What a cute pattern! I’d use it for everyday, but I think it would be adorable for holidays too.

I fell in love with this pattern after having registered and received our dinnerware from another store! It’s gorgeous! I love my other dinnerware — all white bone china — but the size of the bowls left something to be desired. Enter Chirp. I just got a bunch of “all purpose” bowls to add to my set, so now we have 2 different types of bowls to use, and they look amazing with our white bone china. They’re on super sale right now at Macy’s. I’m using these as everyday dishes. And am completely lusting after everything else in the set! Nice choice!

I registered for this as my formal, but I’m sure we will use it a lot more often that just special occasions. I also registered for a plain white inexpensive set at C&B. I figure we can mix and match!

I registered for it as my fine China and picked something a little heavier for my everyday use. I love it and I really hope I get it. I did a little registry snooping and saw that someone has already purchased my matching Chirp napkins, table runner and placemats. I am so excited!
I hope you get the Chirp, it really is precious!

The beauty of Chirp is that it can work for both! It’s super durable and they even have a program where they will replace the piece for half price if it breaks! I loved this pattern and would have registered for it if we didn’t already have good everyday plates.

I fell in love with this set too! I wasn’t going to register for any “fine china” but wanted something nicer than our basic Corelle dishes for special occasions. But I plan to use it for everyday too. They are so pretty!

I LOOOVVVEEEE this set. I have not registered yet but this set was definitely going on my registry

I love this set! I saw some of the plates at TJ Maxx but there was only 3 of them. Its my dream China!

Well, I am very happily registered for the Chirp Pattern. To be honest, I don’t consider this “fine” china, though it will be serving that purpose in our household. For the super “fine” china, we need a bigger house…and servants.
This will do just fine till then… 😉

It’s so pretty, I’d want to use it everyday for sure!
