I’d probably buy some more food, if I was being practical, or a fancy drink dispenser or cake plate, if I was being impractical. 🙂

Suprisingly, I would change nothing. We made our budget, and have been trying to get everything under it, so far successfully! YAY!  I am already getting the wedding of my dreams.

But if I won the $5k, then I would buy the wardrobe for the bridal party, all 10 of them.

I think uplighting for the reception would’ve been cool.  My reception looked VERY similar to my sister’s and DH’s cousin’s (who used extremely similar venues).  Unique lighting would’ve made it stand apart more.

(If we hadn’t already found the money for videographer and limo, I would’ve said those… but we did and they were awesome!)

With an extra $1,600-$1,700, I’d either get a videographer (seems to be something alot of us have had to cut out!) or I would invite my co-workers. If I invited one of them, I’d have to invite about 16 others. Therefore, they all got cut!

Fiance would probably say upgrade the honeymoon, however!

I would put either towards the decor or the rehearsal dinner(by extending to all Out of Town guests)

It would all go to decor.

I would split it among my bridal party to help pay for their trip to my Destination Wedding. We are already paying for their attire but I still feel badly about the cost even though none of them seem to mind.

With an extra $3000, I would pick between or a combination of the below:

i) Accomodation for all my 40 guests OR some kind of activity for my guests (all of it..$3000 I guess!)

ii) a videographer ($2000)

iii) nice shoes..maybe Jimmy Choos (maybe $350)

iv) extra flowers ($500)

v) photobooth ($1000)

vi) better band (right now, we only have this AWFUL 3-piece keyboard band and they cost a crazy $2200:( ). The better band would be an extra $1000

vii) a cake ($500)

viii) or part of a honeymoon (all $3000)

Heck, I can think of so many things I could use it for! If only…

Beefing up the welcome bags (champagne and books about the island where we’re having the wedding), doing more the night before the wedding, and more gifts for the bridal party. Alas, I don’t think it’ll happen…

If upgrading the honeymoond is within the parameters, I would upgrade that to a total budget or around $8600.

If it has to be spent that day I’d go with videographer.

@rebwana: YEEEES, sushi! Best idea ever!

@Miss Orchard: I feel ya with the chiavari chairs.

I’d definitely say the chiavari chairs. Those things are ridiculously gorgeous. Followed by those beautiful and expensive candy buffets!
