Obviously your theme sounds awesome and many of us would love to be able to go to a wedding with a carnival theme. They just can’t see the awesomeness, but I’m sure once they see it, they’ll be completely amazed.

They must have never been to a theme wedding.  They are really fun and guests really seem to like them because they get different treats like candy and popcorn.  My girlfriend did the 1950s Grease theme and served hot dogs, coke floats and popcorn.  We loved it!  My hubby and I did the 1940s aviation theme and our guests loved it!  I’m sure some people thought our idea of getting married on the side of a runway was silly but until you see it in person you can’t fully get the concept.  I would just keep things under your hat and not give out the details because you want people to be surprised too.  And also, let them talk about it because they will feel STUPID when everyone else at the wedding is talking about how awesome and fun the wedding is!

Thank God you didn’t inherit their BORING genes!  You’ve done so much work for such a fun and unique AND UNFORGETTABLE celebration of your love.  Don’t let those killjoys rain on your parade 🙂  They don’t even have to show up! Be yourself and have the wedding YOU want sweetie.

totally tell them to stay home!! they sound like lame-os anyway. i know i have one boring table who will likely not stand, mingle, laugh, or even talk to each other the whole night. if yours are assertive enough to actually comment!! they deserve the flick.

@SoontobeMrsA: OOOOoooMG! Have you ever seen the movie Labyrinth? My most fav in the world. When Sarah (Jeniffer Connelly) was trapped in the crystal (SPOILER) she was in a uber gorgeous Venician Masquerade-like Carnival party. The colors were very vintage looking. Its hard to find photos of the decor but I did my best to give you an idea. My advice is to watch the movie, although I may be biased lol 🙂

Your theme is awesome! I saw some inspiration boards with your features of a carnival and it looked great.

Ignore the negativity!
