I just upgraded my engagement ring center stone from Asha to an Amora Gem. I had always planned to keep my original engagement stone, so I had my jeweler place it in a pendant. Here’s a picture of the finish product that I just picked up today. The setting of the pendant is 14Kt white gold while the chain is sterling sliver. Please sure your pictures of what you decided ot do with your original stone if you kept it.

NovaRising: Your pendant is beautiful! I love all the gorgeous color it reflects, and I’ll bet it is super sparkly. Such a great setting for it, too. I think it really shows off the beauty of your stone.
When my Darling Husband surprised me with an upgrade, I ended up keeping my original ERing intact. At first, I was going to take the center stone from it and put it into the new setting, but my husband decided we should get a larger stone. (I definitely didn’t argue with that — ha, ha!)
This is my original lovely lady. I hope to pass her down to my daughter one day.

I upgraded from a 1ct rb bezel to a 1.5 ct OEC in a cushion cut halo. I kept the my bezel, I LOVE it. It is put away for my daughter and I can’t wait for the day I see her with it on. Darling Husband knew I would lose my mind if I had to ever give it up.

Pretty! My jeweler has a policy where you can trade your diamond in (after a year) and they give you 110% of the price you paid. You only have to spend $1 more!
So when I got a new diamond it was traded in for the old one.

My diamond was from Future Mother-In-Law. Someday, I hope to pass it down to one of our children. My Fiance took the diamond out of his mom’s setting and put it in one we picked out together, so I would probably do the same thing (keep my setting for myself, pass the diamond down).
