I don’t (so my comment really isn’t helpful haha) but I have never even seen or heard of anyone doing this! Are you planning on wearing your rings like this? I’m just curious!

I have a few rings I switch between, but I sometimes wear a simple band on left and fancier ring on right, or vice versa. A couple of my rings don’t play nice with bands/are standalone and I also usually prefer the look and feel of one ring at a time on a finger. I can find multiple rings irritating and uncomfortable (I am not a stacker!)

I don’t have any pics on my ipad and it is late here, but I will try and get a couple tomorrow if I remember.

I do know there are some bees who do this so hopefully they see this thread too!

I don’t, but my Future Sister-In-Law does. Her wedding band is a 5 row pyramid ring that would be wayy too much on one finger with her 2ct halo e-ring. I love the sparkle, but I could never pull it off myself! These are basically her rings:

I love that band! It looks awesome.

lr0901:  that band is gorge!!!

OP I dont do this but I have many many ring dreams so in the future I do intend on wearing fancier cocktail type rings (anniverysary gifts, mothers day, christmas, just because rings) on my right hand while wearing my plain wedding band on the left. I dont see me ever wearing my actual engagement ring on my right hand though, it’s a simple solitaire and i think it’d look silly

lr0901:  Ah, I see what you mean! Both rings are so pretty so I would want to wear them both too!! I can’t stop staring at your ering. It is so unique and the diamond pulls you in!!I do not think I would wear a wedding band beside it like you said. Let us know what you decide to do, and upload pics of that wedding band if you decide to purchase. I wanna see it!!!!

Okay, so please be patient with me as I explain a couple of different combos I wear at the moment. I have had a few different rings over the years but these two rings below, though still quite new to me, are keepers and I am sorting out how I like to wear them, but you will see I like to mix them up. To add more confusion, I have a smaller daintier vintage solitaire (with a 1/3ct stone) coming which I will also be throwing in the mix once I get it. I will probably wear that one WITH the yellow gold band below on either my left or right hand, depending on how I feel at any particular time.

Please also excuse my dry but also puffy morning/post workout hands 🙂

First, just as reference, this is how my “main” ring fits with a straight band (I will call the antique ring “Flora” for the purposes of this post). Not very well, as Flora has a substantial basket underneath. I don’t mind a gap, and I love mixing the white and yellow metals & I think the yellow band brings out the warmth of my centre stone, but when my finger is more swollen (like they are here) this is particularly not very comfortable as I don’t have a lot of real estate below my knuckle:

Here is my other ring, and you can see why it would not fit with a band! It is very low profile so there is no “underneath” for a band to slide under. I will call this ring Marqy Marq for this post:

So, I will sometimes wear the band on the left hand alone:

Or I have/had this band I wore as well sometimes but it is soon to go to a new home – or rather, its old home! – so I don’t wear it anymore (except for this photo!):

And then I wear Flora or Marqy Marq on my right hand:

But, sometimes I actually prefer to wear Flora or Marqy Marq on the left hand, and the yellow gold band alone on the right – I am right handed, so this can work better, especially with Flora which sits higher than Marqy Mark. I only got Marqy Marq a week and a half ago, but it is so easy to wear that I have been wearing it on my left hand a lot when I don’t want to wear Flora as it might get knocked about and such. I won’t show pictures of this as you can imagine I am sure, just flip the images around, ha!

Also, the last few days during the day I have been wearing Flora on my left and Marqy Mark on my right for extra bling…

I am sure I will also add more rings in the future just to mix things up even more. I just really like rings  . I think I might move more into some coloured gemstones though!
