PenguinGuy wore his uniform and his medals (full size).

Just remember that in terms of increasing formality it goes ribbons –>medals–>mini medals. So chances are either ribbons or medals are going to be appropriate. Mini medals would be more along the lines of black tie/ultra formal.

ETA: We had a formal wedding at an art gallery.

Fiance is wearing his full dress, regiment uniform, and I think will be wearing his full metals.  he is very proud of them and I am proud to say, he has quite the chest full.  I am slightly worried about traveling with them though.  (we are getting married in Mexico).

@knavy87: ribbons, i wanted him to wear medals, but we took pictures outside, so he couldn’t do it.

My fiance is wearing his dress blues with full size medals. I think it’s proper for a wedding since it’s such a formal and personal event. We’re both in the military so we’re all about it and very proud. He looks amazing! We are also having a saber sword detail at the ceremony and they guys will be in Class A’s (greens), we’re so excited! Good luck!

My Fiance will be in dress whites with mini medals. It means a lot to him to wear his uniform on our day and several of our guests (mostly his friends) will be wearing the same thing. We’re excited to see how it looks in pictures and all put together.
