We are doing grooms cupcakes. They are coming in crazy flavors like glazed doughnut and milk and cookies. πŸ™‚ He’s a dessert fiend so it should be fun. We are serving them with cigars and champagne and cocktails.

I am doing a groom’s cake too since Fiance is from the South and I love creative cakes. He actually picked out the flavor at our tasting it is going to be white velvet with homemade caramel filling and caramel buttercream. The design is a surprise but his mom and i decided on a bulldog wearing a UGA jersey to represent his love of sports, dogs and being from Georgia. I am so excited to see how it turns out and for his reaction on the big day!

I love the idea of a bunch of his fav things! cute! Do you have a pic? We are def doing one. Fiance is an AVID hunter, and since I nixed anything and everything camo for the wedding, Im pretty sure his groomscake will involve some hunting theme. We saved some other pics though, as he LOVES the huskers & BBQing.

We plan to do a 3D stanley cup cake for my Fiance and it definitely won’t be a suprise because he is adamant on having it lol but that’s ok.

First we were going to do a fishing one, but it got too complicated and expensive, so we’re doing a baseball cake.  This is the inspiration, but I hope our cake looks a little better.  It’s definitely not a surprise.  I couldn’t make that decision!  lol  The wedding cake was hard enough!

We wanted something fancier, like a ball shaped cake, but it was almost as much as the wedding cake, so we had to ax that idea.

We just did DQ ice cream cakes for our rehearsal dinner since my husband doesn’t actually like cake, but LOVES ice cream cake. I think it was decorated based on our wedding colors because the actual cake was what mattered to him… He also got to choose the menu for the wedding. I guess you could say his theme was “food.” πŸ™‚

I surprised him with a groom’s cake. It was a round one tier with the BMW logo on top since he is a car fanatic and  the M3 is his “must have someday” car

Ours will be chocolate with a freshly sliced strawberry/bavarian cream filling! YUMM.

Mr. R doesn’t really have a “thing”, and up until we saw this beauty, we had thought about not having a groom’s cake at all. We both loved the clean simplicity of the chocolate curls.. It’s very “him”. πŸ™‚
