I have been wondering what to do w/ this too. I love those little ring dishes I’ve seen but since I don’t have a ring bearer I don’t see how to incorporate that.. hmmm… watching this thread for ideas…

You can give them to your best man and maid of honor to hold.

We’re having a friend hold our rings and greet guests as they come in and ask them to touch the rings and give them their own personal blessing. My friend will then bring the rings up once our officiant asks for them.

I had my junior bridesmaid (my little sister) carry a little ring bowl from Paloma’s Nest instead of having her carry a bouquet.  Not having to buy another bouquet saved me a lot of money, and she felt really special having such an important job!

We have a ring bearer, but he won’t be carrying the rings. 🙂 He will be carrying a ring bowl from Paloma’s Nest and I’m worred enough about that thing! Our Maid/Matron of Honor and Best Man will most likely carry the rings.

Good post!  We’re not having a ring bearer and I hadn’t even thought about who would hold our rings!  I am going to do what most of you said, have my Maid/Matron of Honor hold FI’s and the Bridesmaid or Best Man hold mine.

Our best man will hold the rings, I haven’t been to many weddings that had ring bearers and this seems to be the most common way to do it here (in Aus). At my sister’s wedding they had an all female bridal party (all their sisters) and got the dads to hold the rings. It was actually a really sweet part of the ceremony when the dads got their moment in the spotlight 🙂

Traditionally, the best man and maid of honour carry the rings (the Maid/Matron of Honor carries the groom’s ring for the bride to give to him, and vice-versa for the BM). Sometimes the best man carries both. But usually, the rings given to the ringbearer are fake, in case something happens to them or the ringbearer decides he doesn’t want to go down the aisle/throws a tantrum (and the rings), etc.
