What’s your budget? Under $5k (includes rehearsal dinner, my dress, reception, gifts for attendants, wedding bands, florals, cake, honeymoon-a full week in the mountains and church fees. Does not include my engagement ring, my daughters dress or my son’s attire-they are boy/girl 5 year old twins and are going to be the flower girl and ring bearer)

Where is your wedding being held? SW Georgia (I live in a small town) We are getting married in the chapel at our church & the reception is in the church social hall (we have a REALLY nice social hall-very recently remodeled, very tastefully decorated)

How many people are you planning on having attend? 125-150

How are you funding? Credit cards? Savings? Incremental spending? Saving, saving, saving.

I’m the original budget bride! I have a mortgage & kids now-as a sped teacher, every penny counts! We are having a morning wedding and a brunch reception. I am burning a CD for favors and getting my cake from a grocery store bakery)

# of People:  We are shooting for 120-130 people

Paying:  Savings, Incremental Spending, and some cutting back on other things (no loans, credit cards)

We just bought a house, but still have many empty rooms because we just don’t want to spend the money on furniture right now.

My budget is 15K. Doesn’t include the bands or the honeymoon (which was a gift from my parents) It costs SOOOO much to feed that many people! 12K of our budget is literally reception plus photographer. The rest of it I’ve pretty much made myself, or enlisted my mom or bridesmaids, right down to the bridesmaid dresses, invitations ($150 for about 100, impressive? yes i think so!), serving sheet cake, etc.

Budget? 10, 000 (includes honeymoon)

Where? Destination Wedding in Negril, Jamaica

How many people? 20-25 (only close friends and fam, wanted to keep it small and casual)

Ages? We are both 25

How are you funding? Cold hard cash. We’re paying for it ourselves a little bit at a time. The destination wedding was more suitable for us for this reason because we don’t feel pressure to put up a lot of money for deposits and such up front.

Budget is $15-20K

Wedding held in Katy,TX

250-300 people

We are waiting until 2010 so that we will have as little debt as possible.  Incremental spending is our plan, but we’re saving like crazy for the big stuff – the venue – which includes everything except flowers and photography.  I’m DIYing everything I can get my hands on.

I’m an encore and he’s never been married.  We’re 30 and 32 currently, but will be 31 and 34 by the time of the wedding…
