I’m pretty sure I tested these for my wedding and I want to say it was pretty true to what the package said (4 hours, if my memory serves me right).  I opted to not do floating candles because I needed a longer burn time and I couldn’t find any and ended up finding votives that worked.  Tea-lights weren’t long enough either – but we had them and just let them burn out.

I just bought the IKEA candles on the advice of other BEES but didn’t realize til I was in the store that they are so much smaller than Michaels brand. I still made the purchase based on the HOPE that they will really burn the full four hours (length of our reception. I also got some votives and know they won’t make it four hours but hope they make it a few.  Any brides think the IKEA floating candles are too small for the cylinder with submerged flower centerpieces?   24 pack was $5.99 so not a bad price but wondering if I should have bought at Michaels.

I did a trial too -same thing 4 hour burn and probably won’t last though the entire reception. 🙁
