You can definitely spray paint them. Just be sure to pick a paint that is meant for plastic.

Like any spray painting, you get better results with several light coats. If you go too heavy you get drips.

As pp said…make sure the spray paint is for plastic and also don’t go heavy…we did five very light coats on ours.  If you spray to heavy, you’ll have streaks.  If you do get streaks or runs, you can sand them off and respray.

Also…put the base on before you spray, or the paint will crack and fall off when you put them together… (sorry for the big pic)

Definitely use paint meant for plastic!  I didn’t and when we put them in a box to bring them to my house (thankfully before we went the venue with them) they stuck together and the paint peeled off!!  We had to run out and get more spray paint to touch them up.

I painted mine dark gray with RustOleum primer and paint all-in-one.  Worked great.  Good luck!
