@Firemansgirl:  Umm…honestly, it depends on your situation. Have you two been living together already? Have you already been building a life together (i.e., dual priorities, similar goals, shared finances)? If so, I don’t forsee “newly wed” life being a huge change.

As far as adjusting to being a nursing student, have you attended school/college before? The best thing I did while in college/grad school was finding a balance. Try to work out a study schedule that ensures you do your work, but that you also spend time with friends and loved ones. Given how much your Fiance works, you should have plenty of solo time to study, so you can ideally spend the hours he is off together (depending on actual work/class hours).

Just make sure you get your priorities in order. My Fiance and I both worked full time and went to school full time and made things work. It’s definitely doable.

You should be fine, just try to do most of your studying while he is at work, and let him know when you are coming close to exams, so he can understand that you are stressed and will be more patient. My friends and family who went to nursing school were all fine.

It’s going to be tough, but you can do it. You’re going to have a lot on your plate, adjusting to living together, combining your life, moving to a new city and starting nursing school, but as long as you manage your time and make time to study and for yourself, for your husband, for family and friends you should be fine.
