@Ninteenthchance:  Bloody hell, you’re making my wait unbearable! Your AG looks blindingly white and beautiful in this shot. What colour is it? F?

I changed my mind about the setting I ordered, so now I have to wait until ring is ordered and AG set into it and then shipping to NZ, then AUS! How long did yours take to arrive to the US from day you ordered it?

I saw on a previous post that you were having second thoughts about the depth of the AG…. so glad you kept it. It looks amazing on your hand

@becleeham:  be careful setting it before its imported because there is a higher duty for jewelry than for a loose gem.

It took like 3-4 weeks for me to actually get it in possession but it was caught in customs during a US holiday so that took a little extra time.

I was only having second thoughts because of comments another bee was making. I never had a second thought before people made comments. I actually think its perfect.

and yes, it’s an F color. It’s super white alllllllllllllll the time.

@Ninteenthchance:  I have ordered the setting now with the Amora gem. I realise there is a higher duty for rings as opposed to just a gemstone, but I’m sure it will be cheaper for me to have it set by BTD. When I was getting my ering made, I purchased a diamond from James Allen and had it set at a local jeweller. I bought the ring for $500 and it cost another $700 to have it set. Another jeweller quoted me $900 to have it set. Ridiculous!

Would rather just have it set by BTD and pay a bit of extra duty.

So exciting, your F looks really white, something of importance to me as my ering diamond is F colour. I actually ordered the E colour Amora gem so it should be just perfect!

I can handle 3 weeks I think, but it will be tough if I come across any more of your pics!!

Was that the thread where someone was comparing your AG to a moissy saying it lacked fire? Anyways, good decision and I’m glad you love it. Hearing that makes me confiedent that I will love my ring too… when it finally gets here!

I’m pregnant too and my obessession with rings is helping me get through the back pain and swollen everything

@becleeham:  $700?!!!!!?!!!!!!!! That’s INSANE! I hear things are expensive there…I didn’t realize they were that bad. I would do the same thing you’re doing too.

but yes, that’s the thread lol. Some people just don’t know when to stop..

i luckily am not swollen (yet) but I know why you mean (:

what ring did you end up choosing?? I can’t wait to see pics!!

@Ninteenthchance:

Yes I was stupid, I paid $1200 ($500 + $700) for a setting that I could have got from James Allen for $500. But I already had the wedding band I loved and the ring I chose at the local jeweller looked stunning with it (sat flush and had the exact amount of accent diamonds on each band).

Yep Sydney is a beautiful place to live, but I guess not such a great spot to get rings made!!

I chose this ring in rose gold. I wanted rose gold as it something different from my ering which is white gold with diamond accents. I would have liked something more intricate for a RHR setting, but all the ones I like were $1000 + and given the price of the Amora gem, I couldny justify the cost (+ have to allow for extra customs taxes +duty)

What setting is your AG in? Its not a BTD setting is it?

@becleeham:  I LOVE double claw!!!!!! That’ll be so beautiful!!!

its sol238a from moissaniteco. I *think* that Btd sells it but I’m not totally sure. I already had this setting with an amora moissanite in it, so I just swapped em out

@Ninteenthchance:  Your stone looks beautiful. I am glad that me making comments didn’t put you off but only strengthened your belief in your choice. Like with any stone be it diamond, moissanite, AG or Asha, or whatever, not everyone’s opinion will be entirely the same. It would be boring if we all liked the same thing in a stone. Some would put up with less fire because of brilliance and whiteness, others will not like the moissanite Round Brilliant cut, and the third person will complain that Ashas scratch. I am glad to see that my negative comments served a good purpose of making you more “immune” to other people’s dislikes. I love Moissanite and whenever I see people dissing it, it never ever gets to me any more, but it did a bit to start of with. Your AG is bright and white and I am genuinly happy you are enjoying it!!!

Bump!  These rings are beautiful!  I have a Diamond Nexus ring and love seeing other girls with that have simulants or alternative stones!
