The bill to legalize gay marriage in Illinois passeded the Senate committee yesterday and could go up for a vote in the senate on Valentiens day. Leaders believe that they have the votes needed to pass it. Then on to the house. I can’t wait. Also excited to see what the Supreme Court will decide on the national level.

The bill passed in the Senate today 34/21. Only one republican voted yes. I got to be at the capital for the vote. It will now go to the House where it will have an even tougher time. The governor has said he will sign it if it gets to his desk. Keep those good thoughts coming our way!!

Bill passed house committee last night 6-5. It will now go to a full vote of the house. This will be the toughest fight. Some churches are fighting hard against it. Send your good thoughts our way.
