@oldlookingyoungster:  You would rather be pretty and not taken seriously?

From your pictures I would definitely not place you in your thirties. I’d say you look your age.

And seriously, it is not “humblebragging” to say that it sucks to look younger than your age. You made this post because you don’t like the way people think you look OLDER than you are, so how can you possibly have any understanding of how it feels to have people think the opposite?

First pic I’d guess 19, 2nd & 3rd pics I’d have said 21/22 maybe 23 at a push. The last pic is just not the best lighting maybe. I’d guess 25 but I’d not go as high as late 20s and early 30s is way off the mark. Also that last pic is just 1 picture and is clearly an off pic, everyone has some of those in the collection…

What’s a twenty-three year old ‘supposed’ to look like anyway … ’cause apparently I don’t look like one either.

Also, I don’t think you look like you’re in your thirties. I would have guessed that you were around twenty-five or so.

@oldlookingyoungster:  I guess I care more about being attractive than being smart.

Well… there’s that.

Anyway, I think you look mid-late 20s. I am 24, my friends are between 23 and 31 or so in my graduate program, and you look around the same as the 27 & 28-year-olds age-wise. It’s the understated makeup and hair, I think. Note that older age does not = less attractive, as I think you’ve gotten plenty of compliments on here validating that you are in fact attractive.

@oldlookingyoungster:  I don’t think you look like you’re in your 30s! Your skin is beautiful so it’s definitely not that. Like you said it could be your demeanor and how you come across. It’s funny because I JUST a few days ago read a magazine article about this very thing. They had photo’s that they went around and did a survey and asked how old the women in the photo’s looked, and then the magazine addressed the issues. Some of the changes they recommded were as simple as a new hair cut. Maybe try that! Get a fun fresh new do and see what it does for you 🙂

But no you are not aging badly and you are beautiful!

@oldlookingyoungster:  Depends on how you use it – at least in my circle, women stop caring as much about how their makeup looks as they get older and more comfortable in their appearance and stop using makeup. For example, I use eyeliner and mascara every day, whereas many of my older friends use foundation and maybe a tiny bit of mascara and that’s it. If you are trying to COVER aging with makeup, that will age your appearance though. It’s a fine line.

I just turned 24 and I definitely think you look like you’re in your early 20’s!  I’m not sure where these comments are coming from.  Maybe you do give off a mature attitude despite feeling immature?

Try not to stress about it.  You look your age, you definitely do NOT look like you are in your 30’s!

I would say you look like you are in your mid to late 20’s, but I also think that you are going to look that age for a long time (not look 40 when you’s 30) I think you have a very classic look and that you look polished in a way that translates to early 30’s-ish. you don’t look wrinkly or aged just nicely put together which usually equal being a little older than early 20’s. From the ages of 16-24 I had people thinking I was a good 10 years or so older than I was when I was when I dressed nicely with well done understated makeup on, and I don’t have anyone thinking I’m in my late 30’s, now people actually think I am the age I am. on the flip side when I’m running around in ripped jeans and a t-shirt people think I’m much younger than I am. I think a lot of it has to do with how you present yourself and how you are dressed.
