    Mrs.Vanilla:  Dress #3 for sure.

Not to be a douche, but why did you do that to yourself?  Can you cancel the 2 that haven’t arrived yet?  I would.  Because once you have them, you’ll be posting about how you have 7 dresses to choose from!!

I voted for the Maggie, but I also liked the Bonny. I’m on your side about waiting to see how the Allure looks. I’m not sure how I feel about the appliques on the ruffles of the Bonny (maybe too much going on?) although you definitely look GREAT in it. Just wondering how a simpler skirt would look! Be sure to post pics when you get the other two!

I have an issue with seeing seams through the dress – so I would toss the Oleg Cassini one for that… I would say either the Maggie (which looks beautiful), or possibly the Allure 🙂 Good luck!

I agree with many PP #2 is definitely out. I think #3 (bonny) is the best on you (#1 is a runner up but I think that the more defined natural waist is best) but I can understand wanting something for covering up arms. I had some removeable cap sleeves made that were amazing and I LOVED them. On the day of my wedding I realized that I didn’t want to take them off and kept them on all night but at least I didn’t have to make that decision till minutes before the wedding based on how I was feeling right then.

Of the three you’ve tried on, Dress #3 is by far the best. I don’t think #2 works for you at all. Dress #1 is also really pretty, but I think #3 is more flattering. I really think dress #4 is going to look great on you when you finally get to try it on though! I think dress #5 is super pretty, but I worry that the skirt might be too full.

For what it’s worth – I really wanted a dress with sleeves to cover my arms as well. Once I tried them on though, I almost felt like they accentuated my big arms rather than helped camoflauge them. Instead – I went with a strapless dress and got a pretty sequined cardigan that I plan to wear over top. Just search for images of brides with cardigans – I think it’s really cute look. I ordered mine in a mint color since that’s the color our bridesmaids are wearing. I thought it would be a nice way to tie into the color scheme. I hope you’ll post updated pictures when you get to try on that Allure.

I’ll try to post pictures after our wedding this Saturday. I’m a size 16, by the way.

I think the Bonny is most flattering and the details are beautiful!

Mrs.Vanilla:  I voted bonny bridals, but it would be interesting to see how dress 4 looks on you, it’s difficult to tell how it will hit your body without it on, but it looks promising.

Oh girl, You have too much time left to do this to yourself.

Coming from a bride who had 3 (and I swore I was never going to be like that), and also I’m plus size with almost the same body shape and worries, I get it. I totally and completely do. My first one I hated and could not return. Sold online, lost a lot of money. I hated myself for that. The second one others did not like, I mindscrewed it, returned it and got #3 which everyone loves. It’s ok, I’m still not thrilled about it but wedding is in 19 days now and I’m not going to change again.

Ok so I’m all about honestly here..so you already lost 30..what if you lose more? what if you don’t? taking into consideration your body shape now…#1 and #2 are OUT completely. They do NOTHING for your body and accentuate your negatives.

I honestly think that you need and empire waist with an A-line shape to really highlight your positives. Add sleeves. Work out those arms like nothing else in the next year to tone them up. You can do it, girl!

That said- I like the #3 bonnie but hate the ruffles and neckline on you. LOVE the Allure #4 but it needs something on top/sleeves. I love the top to #5. If you got the Allure with the sleeves of #5, I think you would have a winner.

Mrs.Vanilla:  hands down the Maggie, #1. Love it. You look amazing. I especially love that sash. The second choice would be dress 5!

Mrs.Vanilla:  as a girl who is a similar size to you and also not a fan of her arms, try and bear in mind that covering them up isn’t the only solution. If you can get people looking at something else – such as your face, or a fantastic rack – then it doesn’t matter so much. That’s why straples sweetheart necklines are great, but so are anything plunging, such as v-necks or scoops.

I know the last thing you want is to see another dress, but if you really insist on long sleeves, I’d be prefering something like this – with a more plunging neckline and a narrower skirt (not with this belt though).

To me this looks more balanced than a big ballgown with lace sleeves – and balance is important when you’re larger.

Another option is to choose a strapless neckline with a lace jacket – but if you do this, I think the skirt needs to be fairly simple – again for the balance thing. So probably the Lorie would be best for that.

3 is definitely the most flattering on you.  I think the other 2 would look great on you too, it is just hard to judge without seeing them though.  I do LOVE that Allure dress though.
