bc2018 :  I’m hoping to stay under $2,500 ideally which seems too low for glitter options right now. Hopefully this trend picks up in the next year for all price ranges!

puravida2019 :  Oh my god YES!!! I love how subtle it is too, yet shines! Ahhh, the dream! I’m having a winter wedding and the idea of a glittery dress that mimics snow sounds like heaven.

I just watched her 2017 collection. I love it all. Oh no.

CloverBells :  I know what you mean! I am actually doing a tropical beach wedding and am hoping the mix between the sun and the sand makes it really sparkle. The main bummer is that most of her stuff is in the $2500-3000 range, but I think she has quite a few dresses that would look amazing at a winter wedding!

Hello there!!

I’m 45 and this is going to be each of ours second marriage so we’re having a small, simple wedding in Las Vegas with less than 30 people.  I do not have a bridal consultant. I’m working through this on my own and will have alterations done if my dress needs it (waiting for it to arrive).  I really want to stay as simple as possible.

I’m wearing a Maggie Sottero Emma dress….I have a very personal question.  What is the best thing to wear under my dress if I’m a 40D and I have a small muffin top (but it’s only in the front, how weird!) and probably won’t be wearing a slip of any kind? (if I don’t have to).  I don’t want to be “perfect” but as close to picture perfect as possible and want to be sure I’m investing money in the right places.  Undergarments are probably a good place for me to do it.

Thank you so much!

bc2018 :  I ordered a dress in a size 14.  I am now a size 8.  I go for my alterations in a month.  My dress is all lace, trumpet-style, with a back zipper.  Will there be an issue altering it down to a size 8?

bc2018 :  Just wanted to add my experience of your gown order timeline… perhaps we work with different designers. My salon places orders on the same day when possible. Never more than 3 days after the purchase… Then we receive confirmation within 24 hours 99% of the time. Very few designers send confirmation later than that and production requires 4-8 months depending on what the designer has in the factory and if it is a custom or couture order.

I hope brides do not think that gown orders take so long because the bridal salon takes 4 weeks just to place the order…

CloverBells :  check out her Blush line! It’s her more affordable line. I don’t think she has any glitter dresses in that line but it’s worth a shot. I got my Blush by Hayley Paige dress for $1800!

Ohhhh my goodness thank you for this post.

I am having my dress custom made. I had my measurements taken with and without a bra just in case. I am a 34H US size and my dress is structured enough to wear without BUT when I tried on dresses I felt my bust looked a lot smaller than how I’m used to seeing it in regular clothes. I really want to have a push up bra sewn into my dress once it comes in. But I am worried this would make the dress not lie flat are cause bulkiness where the bra cups end. Is having a bra sewn in ok or should I change measurements to without a bra? It is a padded push up so it was a 1 1/2 or 2 inch difference i believe. Thank you!

Oh and if it makes a difference my dress is a strapless sweetheart mermaid corset back. Beaded bodice with lace.
