@Corilee13: make sure to keep ALL the text not just the ones from her but the ones you sent too the cops will not do anything if they can only see the one side of the conversation.

Any update on this situation? I’m really curious how it is going to play out.

I wonder if the other crazy bride whose flowers you were doing got to her somehow. But yeah, take her to court.

If you take her to small claims court (and win,, which i sounds like you would) she will have to pay any fees you incurred.

I would def have her standing there explaining why she thought it was OK to take my money!

Solely on the principle of the matter, I’d pursue this as best as I could afford to if I were you. Expose her to all her friends and family as a beeyotch. And now I know, if I ever have to buy a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress to do it myself and not hand the money over to anyone.

Whoa, I am sooo sorry!  With “friends” like that-who needs enemies.  I can’t even imagine that.

This is absolutely heartbreaking. I’m not the type to say yea, go sue but I feel like this woman needs to learn that this is a horrible way to treat a friend. If you have the texts and proof that it was for a dress and then she straight up said she put it toward something else, I think you would overwhelmingly win in court. I understand civil court is time consuming but maybe after she realizes you are serious, she would just pay you back? $200 is a lot of money to lose and I really want to see you get it back!

Wow…I’ve never heard of anything like this.

I think with shower, bachelorette, shoes, hair, nails, wedding gift etc, you would have spent way more than $200 on this wedding. It doesn’t sound like it’s worth it to pursue further. But at least you know now that she’s cuckoo, instead of wasting anymore time with this friendship. That is probably worth the $200 and then some.

This is horrible.  I feel so bad for you.  I’d find a degenerate teenager and pay ’em to slash her tires if I were in your situation.  Being the bigger person is for the birds!
