So apparently my Fiance had been planning a dinner for weeks, with all of our friends, at a very nice restaurant on the water front. He had told everyone that was attending that the dinner was to celebrate my promotion that I had recently gotten, and that it was a surprise for me. His plan was to propose at this dinner, and only his best friend and my sister knew. I had no idea about any sort of dinner at all. Well basically, there was a work memo sent out into a group text message to all the girls that I work with, and one of the girls apparently didn’t realize it was a group message, and asked if another wanted to ride together to my ‘surprise dinner’. Out of shock, I showed my Fiance the text message, confused, and he in return got furious and left the house for a few hours. I’m just sitting there staring at the text, so lost on what’s going on. To take my mind off of the confusion I started playing a video game, on the couch, and because I had to work in a few hours, I had done my makeup and hair, but was still in my underwear. My Fiance finally came back, and said to me, while I’m still playing a game, “You know, I was going to propose to you at dinner on Friday in front of all of our friends, but now Im not, because your friend ruined it.” I then got angry at him, and said something like “She didn’t ruin it, you ruined it it just now, that really pisses me off. ” I was silently tearing up, and turned away from him. He says, “Baby, before you stop talking to me for the rest of the night can I ask you something? ” I responded with WHAT. (Embarrassing how childish I seem in this story LOL) Then he got on one knee and asked me to be his wife. HE TRICKED ME! I went from crying out of snger, to happy tears, and laughing after I said yes. I got engaged on a couch with no pants on, and I love that. His proposal dinner, just ended up being our engagement announcement dinner instead. I’m not really mad at the girl who ruined the surprise, but I know my Fiance is, (who can really blame him) I’m just excited to be engaged!
