- Wedding: October 2012
We just returned from our Honeymoon yesterday and are beginning to catch up on things. 🙂 I don’t have enough words to describe how awesome our wedding day was. From beginning to end, it went perfectly – and everything was even more beautiful than I had imagined. Here’s a rundown!
Host Hotel: Suncoast Hotel & Casino – A+. All of our guests were very impressed with their accomodations and enjoyed being off of “the Strip” for some peace and quiet!
Limousine: Lucky Limo – A+. Our driver was kind and courteous!
Venue: TPC Las Vegas – A+. I cannot say enough about the coordinator, Keri Macanas. She was spectacular from beginning to end – and spent the entire day with us!
Florist: Enchanted Florist – A+. I called a week and a half prior to the wedding date to add two more centerpieces worth of loose Dendrobium Orchids to our order with no problem at all. Enchanted definitely came through and all of our tables were covered with these gorgeous turquoisey-purple orchids! Totally incredible!
Hair/Makeup: Hairz Melinda – A+. I’m not a big makeup person at all, and have never had my makeup done by a professional. Melinda is awesome and isn’t afraid to take creative liberties if you tell her to do so. My hair turned out perfectly, as well!
Photographer: Allyson Kaye Photography – A+. I’ll definitely give her props for putting up with our silliness!! Haha. Our guests loved her, she worked with our creativity and was a perfect match for our group. We can’t wait to get the wedding shots back. 🙂
Gown: Alfred Angelo – A. The only reason I didn’t give an A+ is because they really didn’t have to work for our money/business.. we got so lucky, I got my gown off of the clearance rack for $149!
Tuxedos: Jos A. Bank – A+. The manager was wonderful as were his associates. My Husband and his Best Man looked dashing!
DJ: Good Vibrations – A+. Our DJ was the kindest, sweetest man! Upon greeting us before the ceremony, he gave me a hug and told me that I looked beautiful.. and congratulated the Groom. 🙂
Bakery: Las Vegas Custom Cakes – A+. We are still getting compliments on the cake nearly 3 weeks later! It looked incredible and tasted even better – if that’s possible!
Accessories: The Knot and Oriental Trading – A. The gifts for our wedding party turned out perfectly; and we only had one problem with our cake serving set and toasting flutes (the engraving on both items had some rusting and/or weird markings); but Oriental Trading sent us new ones immediately, with free shipping for us to send back the incorrect/damaged items. Do not be afraid to sign up for emails from these companies.. sales are your friend; I saved a ton off of The Knot’s “up to 75% off” sale!
Below are a few of our guest’s pics from our big day. 🙂
This is from our “First Look” session.. the first time that my husband saw me all gussied up. Yes, he teared up! 🙂
A quick shot that one of our guests took of the head table decor. I DIY’d the escort cards (made from the remaining cardstock that was leftover from the wedding invitations).
Me, walking down the sidewalk to the aisle. What, me? Happy? 🙂
My maid of honor was situating my train for me here, I think. Our recessional song was Elvis Presley’s, “Jailhouse Rock”. So just as we’d turned around and had been announced as Mr and Mrs, was when the song began. 🙂 Everyone danced! I’m hoping our photographer got some good shots of this. 🙂
Our beautiful cake!
Me bustin’ a groove with one of my girlfriends. 🙂
