I feel the same way. I have written out a to do list on my blog and scratch off tasks once they are completed. Anytime I think of another task I add it to the list. Other than that I have no idea if there is anything missing.

I am using the knot to keep track of things, and also created a google calendar to actually put those things onto a calendar where I can keep track of them and get reminders. Mr.Rain also has access to this calendar so he can see what he needs to do, or when things are particularly busy for me/us.

I have an elaborate excel file. I have 4 columns and can sort by any of the columns: One column is type of action (Buy, Write, DIY, Delegate, Errand, Communicate), the 2nd column is the category (Rehearsal dinner, clothes & beauty, venue, decor, etc), the 3rd is the actual thing I have to do, and the 4th is the date by which I should do it. I add things as I think of them and strikethrough those that I’ve completed. It’s nice to be able to sort by the different colums: if I feel like shopping for stuff I sort by Action, if I need to know what to get done this week I sort by date, and so on. It’s very handy.

baffled – I like that system a LOT!  I have an intense to-do list in excel but I think that I might have to modify to fit your system!

Yeah, it’s pretty simple.

To sort the columns you select all of them and then click  Data > Sort

I kept a list at work and online of things I needed to do.  I read it to my Darling Husband and my friend at work to make sure I didnt forget anything.  It helped that my friend is plannign her wedding too so we compared notes 🙂

I bought a book called "The Busy Bride’s Essential Wedding Checklists". It literally has a list for everything wedding! Hoping it will help me stay on track.

I write list, after list, after list, after list…. and then I lose my list.

Sigh. I’m about to go completely cukoo.

You and me both Laylabelle. I am unorganized to begin with – my friends say I really am the absent-minded professor.  I now believe a wedding planner would have been worth the money if I could have afforded one.

@bluespurrs, I couldn’t agree more! A wedding planner would have been awesome, if I could afford it. I’m still trying to figure out if I can scrounge up enough to have a DOC.
