Hey bees! I passed my citizenship test this morning so I’m officially an Aussie! Have to wait for my ceremony to get my passport, but after 6 years of hassles, visas, and thousands of dollars paid to immigration australia, I’m finally a citizen!

please explain HOW. I am desperately toying the idea of moving somewhere. I am Canadian and have always wanted duel citizenship to the states of aus.. I know it would have been easier to marry that way, but I fell in love with another canadian!! ahhaha
Did you get it because you were married or how?? is it hard? please explain. If I could.. I would. I spent 6 months in aus, and loved it..

@MissHighHeel: I’m Australian but marrying an Englishman and it is HARD to get in here (because everyone wants to come! hehe)
We’re about to apply for a partner visa but even after you’re married its not a given, you still have to apply and show all of your documentation and then they make a decision.
we’ve been waiting a long time and it’s very frustrating, but it will be SO worth it 🙂
