@Rouquine:  Gosh I know exactly how you feel. I just spent 2 hours on my invites trying to figure out what font size to use, how big, the wording so I can show Fiance to see if he likes. Urghhh… I’m exhausted. I wish they can just be created on their own… like use a program tell it what we want and Poof its done! But who am I kidding lol  Hang in there girl! We’re almost there!!!

@Rouquine:  Gosh for me it’s Fiance… everything I show him he likes! I’m like “can you NOT like everything?!” And then we’re doing the invites in English and then we need to make some in Portuguese, it’s like cray cray trying to translate this thing!!!! Arghh… I need a vacay soooo bad! Coooommmmeeeee on HM!!!! :p

I shouldn’t *technically* be posting here in the October board, but I SO know what you mean.

Our wedding is NEXT FREAKING MONTH and I have so much left to do.  I am DIYing all of the decor (vases, guest book, you name it) and I haven’t started on most of it.  Ah!!!

I was stuck at the point of “No one will make these decisions for me so I don’t wanna either” for a couple months.  But now that the day is (I was going to say “creeping up on me” but this is more accurate–>) sprinting toward me at full force, I feel like I’m scrambling!

When I get overwhelmed I tend to shut down too. Was always a problem with school! Try one thing at a time instead of taking it all on at once, you will see that you start making a dent. I know the feeling and good luck 🙂

Sounds like you need a 4 day breather. Just ignore it (not us though, obviously!!) and rest your wedding mojo. It will help. Another thing that helped me was actually purchasing stuff. I had so much in my head that when I finally started buying the items I needed it started to feel real enough to get started. Or drink. That’s what I am currently doing.

@Rouquine:  Haha  Have a nice big glass of wine and keep venting on here.  It has helped me a bit in the past.  I probably should have done it more instead of just avoiding everything until the last minute.  We’ve have a 2.5 year engagement for peet’s sake!

Good luck at the doctors!  I have an appointment on Friday (which is also something I’ve been putting off doing…sigh…). Haha

I just finished my invites (I sent them out two days ago!) and I was suicidal through the whole process. Keep going, fellow October Brides!!

I can completely relate! I go through waves where I get a lot done, and then just completely shut down for a week (or two. or three).  But somehow I seem to work better under last minute pressure, so I’m sure with a few late nights towards the end everything will be ok.

You’ll get through this! And if everything isn’t perfect, it’s ok… there is no such thing as a perfect wedding anyways. 🙂

Sounds like Im not the only one whos been having a tough time. I was told by my photographer that he might not be able to ask off from work for my wedding! So we had a meeting with a new one and signed a contract with him tonight. Excited about the new one.

Then we never really agreed on the food until YESTERDAY. Will be putting the deposit on the caterer tomorrow morning.

And because we didnt know what we were going to do about the food I havent been able to finish my invites. The reception cards mainly.

So this week has been very crazy but very productive!! I have ordered a lot of wedding stuff earlier this week and the packages are starting to arrive.

So my goal is to get the invites out, work on my timelines, FINISH my contract for the dj, work on the ceremony programs, kids activity books, etc.,, etc.

Just so much to do!

I can sympathize with those that have been going in waves! It’s funny how I can be a totally psychchotic DIYer for a few days and then turn into a person that can not even think about working on the projects I have going.

Luckily I haven’t really felt overwhelmed yet. I think it’s because I know that it’s doable.

GOOD LUCK, LADIES!
