Whatever brand you get, just make sure they are 100% remy human hair. I got mine on Amazon here in the UK but in the US lots of women buy them from Sally’s Beauty Supply. I did not get mine dyed or cut, but I also box dye my hair the regular dark brown color, so it matched dark brown extensions perfectly.

I used bellami hair extensions.  Just like the PP said, they have to be 100% human hair.

I used Bellami hair extensions and dyed them myself using good ol box dye.  After I dyed them they weren’t as soft as when I got them, but once styled you couldn’t tell.  But once they are wet ( after washing or dying) they take FOREVER to dry.  If I were to do it again, i’d go to a stylist and have them dye it.

Please don’t get them from Sallys. They are the WORST quality. They are so stringy.

I would go with Bellami, The Hair Shop (hairpiece.com), Dolce Vitta, Mermaid Hair by Katie Rogers. There are a lot of good companies. Go on YouTube and type in hair extensions reviews. You will see tons and those videos will give you the best way to see what will work for you!

The hair shop is my favorite. They’re a little pricey but still affordable and so worth it.

juliaGG:  please don’t do it!  Hair extensions, all of them, always look like a rat’s nest in real life. I don’t care how many people claim that theirs looked real or good, the reality is that your real hair, no matter how short or thin or whatever looks better.  And while I’m at it, I like thick lips, but thin lips look a million times better than those ridiculous fish lips that so many women have been sporting lately.

God, when will thede hideous Kardashian-influenced trends finally die????

tjacob2014:  Hi! Your hair looks fab – I can’t even tell you’re wearing extensions! Would you mind sharing the Amazon link, as I too am UK based and am looking for extensions for my upcoming wedding! Thank you!

juliaGG:  Get the ones that are 100% real hair. Two hair stylists told me that the synthetics can’t be/or don’t die well, and can melt while being curled.

I had a great set from Sally Beauty that were 100% hair, but needed more and different length before the wedding. I went in, asked the sales associate if I had grabbed the real hair ones- she said yes- I don’t know what I grabbed, but they were no where near the uality of the first set that I had. They worked for the wedding, but I tried to add some in and style myself after and I couldn’t do anything with them.

Do not purchase from Sally’s! Their quality is shit. I highly recommended bellami–their BooGatti line is the thickest and will give you the fullness you want. It will run about $300, but they last for years and are the best quality I’ve found currently. I’ve been wearing extensions (every type on the market–clips, fusion, micro links, tape-in) for 10 years. Good luck bee!

DGN85:  thank you so much! 🙂 I bought them on Amazon from a seller called “Undercover Glamour” and this is the name of the listing I bought “FULL HEAD of 100% Human Hair, Clip-in Hair Extensions – 20 inch, Deluxe, Quality A Grade, Remy Hair. GREAT VALUE, 140 grams of remy hair (150 grams set weight) – TRIPLE WEFT”

They have varying lengths and fullnesses to choose from. I’ve used them 4-5 times already, love them.

juliaGG:  to the other poster’s point, if they are quality real human remy hair that matches in color you will not be able to tell. Its literally the same as your own hair, there should be no visible difference with good extensions. Mine are even 20″ length, but my actual hair is only slightly shorter than that, it gives the appearance of layers. I used mine for volume, not length though.

I highly recommend Cashmere Hair Extensions. They were featured on shark tank and I went online and bought them the next day. I have tried many brands, but these are so thick, the hair quality is to notch, doesn’t tangle or knot. It blends beautifully and I cannot say enough good things about their  product.without extensions
