Pros: the day was gorgeous (but COLD!), I got to marry my best friend, and there was no family drama with three sets of parents there, so HUZZAH!
Cons: I’m pretty unhappy with my photos. There are a grand total of 4 pictures of just me by myself, and they all suck. 1 of them was really posed and looks dumb, and in the other 3 I didn’t know they were taking a picture so I look glazed over. I asked some friends to look them over and they all said they would also be super disappointed with them, so I don’t think it’s just me being overly ciritcal. They also kept taking REALLY wide shots which means we are little ants in the picture (gorgeous pictures of architecture, but not us), or while kneeling and we all know that getting a picture taken from below is…not the best angle. Also, the most ICONIC pictures of the whole wedding turned out beautiful – when we’re coming out of the church – except for the part where someone’s elbow is in ALL of them. There’s one picture where it’s not so bad (below), but I’m honestly really disappointed. Oh well, nothing to be done now, and I’m sure I’ll get over it after a few days. They also forgot to put out a lot of the decor that I worked so hard on, so that’s a bummer but that’s less of a big deal.
Overall though, it was really a stunning day and my memories of the day itself are fantastic. We had a blast, I survived reciting the vows I had memorized, I loved my dress, and we threw a HELL of a party. We’re still getting texts from guests saying how much fun they had, and how people are still talking about it a month later. My new husband and I stayed up until 1am on our wedding night just talking excitedly about how great everything was and how it really was the best day ever, and that’s a super fun memory to have all by itself. 🙂 I have a billion pics, but these are a few of the highlights. 🙂

Amazing! You are a stunning couple and that dress is iconic. You wore the dress though, it didn’t wear you, and you are a total bombshell!

And, you have one very handsome husband there, Bee. You are a very attractive couple.
The venue is gorgeous! It reminds me of home (Chicago). Where is your venue, if you feel comfortable sharing.
Big congratulations, Bee!

Thank you! We’re actually from Chicago, so you’re dead on! This venue was in Lake Forest, though – the Deer Path Inn. 🙂
