So SO and I are not officaly engaged, even though we’re starting our planning. Part of my planning is kind of silly though. I just signed up for my new email. I’ve always known I would change my name, so that’s not a huge deal to do it early, but actually seeing [email protected] was a little startling! It makes it feel more real that’s for sure!
Anyone else grab their emails early? I just didn’t want it to get taken, that would make me really mad if it had happened. The orignal one I wanted already was taken, so I didn’t want this one taken too!
ETA: I don’t know why that fake email is linking lol, but as far as I know it’s not a real email so don’t send anything to it…

I did! I’ve had my married e-mail address for about a month now. It’s just sitting there though. No one knows about it but me. 🙂

I’ve already changed my Twitter handle!

Yup – I totally did that before I was married! I didn’t want anyone to snag up my new name before our wedding! 🙂 I didn’t start actually USING it until after we were officially married, but it was fun to have. I actually would email just my fiance from it every now and then.

@risingsun: Ohh I forgot about my twitter! I’m kind of sad to be loosing that, I’ve been Curq on everything (aside from this, which I use a different spelling so that it wouldn’t come up when googled), and now I’m losing that. And the SO and I both start with C, so he’s used most of the C-last name combos.
At least I still have my roller derby name, which includes Curq in it

i got my new email account the day after we got engaged. it’s a morth of his lastname and my firstname. (the last two letters of this last name are the first two letter of my first name) but i’ve only been using it for wedding-y stuff like emailing potential vendors – but have not gone public with it to friends, family or even the fi yet. will do that once i’ve officially changed my last name to his. can’t wait!
