I’m so sad. I just found out that my favorite cousin is not going to be able to be in my wedding. I’m so crushed, i’ve been crying for hours 🙁
I know if sounds silly but i’m from a large greek family and the FAMILY part is very close and very important.
Now I have a hole in my party. 🙁
My mother and my father both say I need to find another woman to fill her spot. But how?How do I “fill” her spot. Thats her spot, no one elses. 🙁 Plus shes on the website, I dont want to take her down. And also, how do you just fill it with another woman without making the other woman feel like a second choice?
I’m blue.. help me figure out what to do.

I’m sorry you’re so upset. 🙁 Personally, I wouldn’t get someone to fill in. If you end up with an uneven bridal party, so be it. It’s not a big deal.
Maybe you could leave her on the website and make some kind of note about how she’s an honorary member of the bridal party even though she couldn’t be there physically?

@iheartnerds: Thats not a bad idea. Maybe I could put it in the programs too.
She’s really special to me.

Has this every happened to any of you ladies? What did you do?

I think that iheartnerds‘s idea is really sweet. Keep her on the website and the program, and then she’ll be a part of your wedding even if she isn’t physically there.
I asked one of my best friends to be a bridesmaid, but she can’t because of work/career reasons. I’m bummed, but I’m more happy than bummed, because she gets a fantastic job!
