Go for the round, I have a feeling you will end up hating the fancy shape once you have it.

not all fancy shapes face up as large as a round…cushions certainly face up smaller (in most instances)!

Go for the round! I considered a fancy shape but worried I would get tired of it. In the end, I narrowed my choices down to round or princess-cut and ended up getting a .50ct round solitaire and love it!

Round. From all of your other posts, it seems like you are really struggling with this. A lot of times, women get a “meh” feeling from their e-ring until they pair it with a wedding band and it is complete. Maybe if you get the round solitaire, you can get a unique/fancy cut wedding band to help give you the best of both worlds.

Are you opposed to a halo?  It would give you more finger coverage.  Haha I was also about to suggest moissanite before I read your last sentence. 🙂  But just an FYI, round moissys are verrrryy white!!  😉

Oh, but to answer your question, it does sound like you are leaning towards round.  🙂

Flip a coin (heads is fancy and tails is round) and as the coin is falling down, whichever one your gut “hopes” it will be is the one you should pick!

I AGREE WITH frugalfiance a halo will provide more finger coverage.

If you love a round then get a round. I have always loved the marquise and yes it’s a plus that it can look bigger than its weight but that was not something I even knew about until I got to these boards and after I had gotten engaged!

If you try on a round in the weight you can afford and love it then get it, you need to get something you’re going to be happy with. If you’re happier with a fancy shape then get that OR just tell your Fiance to go to the store and get when he likes, you might be surprised how much you love it.
