Very brand new to this website. Actually came across it while looking for DIY projects.
My fiance and I got engaged last month and now are starting to plan the big day. I have a few ideas of what I would like but feel mostly lost.
Can someone tell me what to do from this point? I have a venue that I am looking at. I think I am pretty set with that. Now what? Is there a guide as to what to do? How to choose colours? How to get things done?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Congrats on your engagement! Welcome to weddingbee 🙂 If you are looking for DIY projects, these boards are loaded with them!
I’d start by enjoying yourself for a minute 🙂
Then, start looking at venues and try to narrow down a date. Maybe start discussing a budget and how many guests (just approximate for now).
There are lots of details but try not to get overwhelmed! Enjoy yourself!

I would recommend looking at some wedding inspiration and trying to see what types of weddings you are attracted to. Formal, contemporary, rustic, etc.
Maybe involve your Fiance so the two of you can have some good conversation about likes/dislikes. Colors should come organically based on what you like and the season.
Here are a few blogs I think are great for inspiration:
stylemepretty.com, snippetandink.com, 100layercake.com, swsmag.net

Congratulations on your engagement and welcome to weddingbee! This is a great place to ask all your questions, big or small, so don’t be afraid to ask!
I would start off by taking a look at a few planner books for checklists and about how long it will take you to complete certain tasks. The first few big ones will be reception venue and ceremony venue/church. The next big things to knock out are photographer, flowers, transportation, ceremony and reception music (DJ/Band), and of course your dress! Then come lots of the details! Colors and bridesmaids, cake, favors if you’re having them, etc. A planner will definitely make sure you haven’t missed anything!
