my Fiance is not the romantic type at all, literally in 6 years he has done maybe two romantic things, sometimes I take it to heart when other people get romantic evenings all the time but I love him the way he is. My proposal was the most romantic thing he had ever done, maybe you should be super happy you get romance all the time I would be if I were you 🙂
congrats! ps I want to see a ring pic 🙂

oh, I think that’s so sweet 🙂 It’s the love and the fact he wants you to be his wife that’s touching!

Haven’t read everything, but I think it’s really cute! My proposal wasn’t what I expected either because my Fiance is the same. Ultra romantic…He bought the ring and called my dad about ten minutes after that then proposed to me that night. He couldn’t wait. He told my father he had planned to propose to me on vaca but got way to excited and couldn’t wait another minute. I mean how amazing is that?! That’s how your Fiance was feeling!! (atleast that’s my gut) I def. think you have a cute story and I totally get that it didn’t happen how u planned. So, he planned a super cute way to propose, but when it didn’t work out he simply couldn’t contain himself any longer. Very romantic in my opinion:)

lol better than the way I was proposed to!! I knew he was gonna do it and he kept stalling/chickening out. So I said “you mide as well give it to me” and he did. No getting down on one knee or anything. I got the ring that’s all that matters.

That sounds incredibly romantic and sweet. I really hope you can take a step or two back and realize how wonderful your moment was simply because it happened. Who cares how? My best friend’s fiancé proposed to her in the elevator at the Newark airport because she’d been gone a month and he was just too excited to have her back and couldn’t wait to do it. She loves telling the story and tears up every time because it was so perfect and beautiful for them. In an AIRPORT elevator!
What matters is that you’re going to plan the wedding party and marriage ceremony that will bind you two together for the rest of your lives. Everything else is just decoration.

My fiance was having trouble with how he wanted to propose as well. He had wanted to do it at a waterfall when we were on vacation but when he went up stairs “to get his sunglasses” I followed because I needed mine too. It was sunny! So I ruined his plan. . . but he ended up proposing to me in the hot tub of our cabin over looking the mountains as the sun came up our last day of our mountain vacation. He took out the ring box (looked like a cute little gift) and I wondered how in the world he found time to shop for a gift somewhere, told me to open it because he was too excited. I looked at him puzzled and opened the box to find a ring box. . . then burst into tears as I opened that and found a gorgeous ring . . and he said “wanna get married Mackster?” (one of my nicknames). Not the most romantic way but it was so incredibly special, intimate and completely him. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I think it was very romantic the way he asked you and it will be a story to tell one day. 🙂
Congrats on your engagement!!

Maybe you can even stay in the same room in the future so you can enjoy the memory together. I totally understand where you’re coming from, but the bright side is that you took a lovely vacation together and got engaged.
A lot of people haven’t even been to Las Vegas, so think about how glamorous your vacation sounds to those people, right? We would all love to see your bling now. 😀
Congratulations! I actually think your story is super cute BECAUSE of everything that happened, if that makes sense. 😉
