I bought my dress in Novemer 2010 and have lost 12 lbs and 2 dress sizes since then. I was looking at pictures of me in the many dresses that I tried on in November and I was very unhappy with the way I looked and wasn’t really sure that I had even picked the right dress. Well, after yesterday’s fitting appointment I was totally excited about my dress again and fell in love with it all over. The bummer part is that I have to pay $150 in alterations costs because the dress is too big but I’m super excited!! YEAH!! It’s not the best angle but my Future Mother-In-Law took it. Ummm.. LOL

Wow, you look so amazing in your dress! And congrats on losing that weight and feeling more confident in your dress! Though I hear you on needing to pay alterations for a dress because you’ve lost weight. I was in the same predicament, but I rationalized that it felt so much better to know that my weight loss actually translated into lost dress sizes. Plus, how good does it feel to put your dress back on and have it be too big? I was terrified it would be too small (I’m irrational, I know), so seeing it was too big made me feel so relieved!

Thanks ladies! I was worried that maybe I didn’t pick the right dress because I’ve watched so many episodes of Say Yes to the Dress and I started to like different styles but after putting it on the other night, I was reassured that I made the right choice. It just felt good!!
@parasol – It’s crazy how you can feel SO MUCH BETTER when you realize how big your dress is. I was quite excited!! Congrats on your weight loss too.
