- Wedding: October 2012
My HUSBAND (!!!!) and I celebrated our marriage on October 20th in Warwick, NY. We’re overjoyed to have had such amazing weather for october! I didnt even have to wear my jacket! Someone was looking out for us that day. 😉
We DJ-ed the reception ourselves (biggest PITA to set up), designed our own Save-The-Date Cards and Invites and had them printed elsewhere. Made our own ceremony programs and I made ALL of the reception decor. I even bought tablecovers & napkins (cheaper than renting somehow), straws, We found glassware from antique stores, good will and some were lent from friends. I even painted some of the glassware blue for the “vintage-y/country” look we wanted. I ordered dried flowers from etsy, made floral arrangements. and the boutonierres. I sat up for months folding and gluing over 300 paper flowers for the centerpieces. I scultped the cake topper from clay, cut and glued the placecard “leaves” and picked the branches from our own backyard! I drew the guestbook tree, and crafted up the wreaths above the guestbook as well. SO Many tasks, but i loved it all. 🙂 We found a venue with a great view of Warwick Valley, and we love Autumn.
Well, here are a few non-pro pics, and two pro-pics my photographer just sent as a teaser! 🙂
If anyone wants to know our breakdown, or how i made something, i’d LOVE to share. 🙂 Most of our decor is for sale as well, if you see something you like! We’re in North East NJ and still don’t have power, so i’m posting from work… so forgive any delays in responses.
