I agree with the sizing balls. In the winter my fingers are size 4 and in the summer they are almost a size 5. It’s RIDICULOUS how much my fingers swell up in summertime – I’m not looking foward to pregnancy XD

chrissy2019 :  I feel like David can do it.  He engraved and had milgrain on my entire ering and I had to get it resized and it’s virtually indistinguishable from the original of where he added the metal

chrissy2019 :  Don’t stress. David Klass is amazing! Just explain you were sized and it must have been wrong. That it’s too big and make sure you know the exact size you want now. I can almost guarantee he will say to mail it back and he will redo a new one for you. He’s wonderful like that. Keep us posted!

chrissy2019 :  I agree with PPs who said that David Klass can probably fix or resize the ring. In my experience, he stands behind his work and wants everything to be perfect about the ring and how it fits.

In the event he can’t fix the size or if you decide you want to keep the ring a slightly larger size, you can always do sizing balls or a little sizing “hump” to adjust the fit so it is exactly how you like it. The balls are just that: tiny little balls of metal that are soldered into the bottom of your ring on the inside. The “hump” is similar. But it is a strip of metal that is soldered into the bottom inside of your ring.

One of my rings has a sizing hump in it. It looks like this:

I realize it looks huge in the picture, but that is because it’s a close-up shot. In reality, it is a very small piece of metal. And it is not visible at all from the outside of the ring. Only you would know it is there. My ring is a whole size or size and a half too big. When I got it, I was a finger size 8, and I like my rings slightly loose because of the shape of my finger. Several years down the line, and I am now a finger size 7. I can’t resize this ring often because of the way the side stones are set. Really, it’s best not to size it at all. When I wear the ring with a band, I can’t tell any height difference between them. Everything looks perfectly normal from the top or “outside” view.

I genuinely think sizing beads are a better bet especially if it’s winter where you are. I am a 4.5 in the summer and a 3.5 in the winter, if my engagement ring was sized to a 3.5 I wouldn’t be able to get it on in the summer. Sizing beads make things more flexible and they aren’t noticeable

chrissy2019 :  sizing beads should work to make it fit. It’s only slightly too big and honestly your finger size will most likely increase a little as you age and having that bit of extra ring room may not be such a bad thing in the long term.

Is there a photo you could post, I’m sure those sizing beads wouldnt be too bad! You never knwo they may be able to size it half a size.  Usually they can do that, they say when its past half a size thats when the integrity of the ring is compromised.

If it more like a .25 size difference, I say just stick with it. When you wear the band closest to you, the ering will hold it snugly and you wont feel like they are tight on your finger. My eringnis a size 5.75 and my eternity band is a size 6. I mean if you are REALLY looking, you see the slightest difference in size. But in all actuality you cant really tell and it doesn’t bother me any! I actually like it because I dont feel like it gets tight around my finger when I clench my hands. Attaching my rings just to show you that I really think there is a negligent difference
