No thats not too early at all! I had my bridal shower exactly 3 months before my wedding and then my bachelorette just about 2 months before. I think the timing is fine!

I hope not because I’m getting married in September, and my shower is in mid-August! I think you should be fine. Sometimes that’s just how schedules work out.

I read somewhere that even 6 months before the wedding is fine. Really, it’s up to you guys and when you can do it.

Whoop! I totally read your title as “too late.” My bad! In any event, I think what I said still stands: if it works, it works, and that’s all matters really. I think you’re totally fine!

Hey date twin!

Late August? Perfect!

Mine isn’t until the end of September.

Our wedding’s in Dec. and my showers are in late August and early September. More so for the summer weather so it can be partly a yard party, but otherwise whatever works, right!

I’m getting Married Nov 5th and my shower is this sunday, so I would definitely say: not a problem!

You should have your registry up and running before the shower invites go out, whenever that is.  I think my sister sent mine 6 weeks in advance.

The timing is fine. There are many variables that have to be taken into consideration when planning dates for a shower including the availability of the bride, the guests and the venue.

My shower was about 2.5 months from my wedding, and it felt like great timing… so three months would be perfect in my opinion. I think it’s nice to have it with a few months to spare so you don’t feel overwhelmed by everything going on. You have time to get the first round of thank yous out and have some down time before the last minute details pile up.

I’m getting married November 5, 2011 and I had my shower on June 26th because I knew nobody would be around during the summer months due to vacation, etc.  Also, it gave me time to put everything away, write my thank you cards and enjoy the memories rather than turn around and gear up for the wedding…

Do whatever works for yoU!

Having your registry for only a month is fine – some people purchased items way in advance but for the most part, the shopping was done the week of 🙂
