Don’t worry about the crying!  I would actually suggest to listen to all the sappy love songs you can (especially the ones that will be played at your wedding) and get used to hearing them, and hopefully get you over the urge to cry everytime 🙂

As far as the veil is concerned, why do you think it’s too long?  Where will your ceremony be held?  Judging from the picture, I think it looks great.  But I can’t really see the exact length.

I think the veil is beautiful!  And as for the crying, you can hold it in!  I’m usually a sap and cry at every one of ‘our songs’ but I didn’t cry at all during the ceremony.  Afterward, my husband’s aunt came up to me crying and that made me cry though!

Hi Cllyons – I too, am a huge sap!  I feared that I’d cry aloud or my makeup would smear.  Amazingly though, during our ceremony both of us got emotional (looked as if we were about to cry) but never shed big tears.  When I watch our wedding video, it seemed like my hubby and I helped one another get through the emotional moments, whether it was giving eachother a warm smile, a squeeze of the hand, a wink, or an encouraging word.  Whether you cry or not, it’s okay!  It will be a beautiful day no matter what!!!  P.S. I think your veil looks very pretty!

I don’t have much to say about the veil – it looks nice.

As far as the crying goes, I wouldn’t worry. Honestly, I think the more tears the better in a wedding ceremony – it shows the true deep love and connection, you know? Both my husband and I cried through the whole ceremony – we could barely get through our vows – but, you can’t tell at all in our photos. They look great – no ugly faces.

I think I will be a crier too.  I am emotional; especially when I hear songs that mean lots to me.

@cllyons:  I think the length is good!  And, if you’re worried about it being too long for the reception, why not take it off?  Especially if it’s a backyard reception… you don’t want people pulling on it each time they take your picture 😉

But, if you still don’t like it, I would go back to the bridal shop and try on other lengths.  And you can get some great veils on ebay for c-h-e-a-p!

I thought I was going to cry, but I was good the whole time…… until my husband started sobbing. We’re talking he was full on, wet face, tears choking, flat out sobbing! As soon as he broke down, I lost it. It took me by surprise, but the emotion was so intense that release felt so good! 🙂
