I’m not. I don’t have one. There’s a few I find beautiful, but none that I can say THIS IS THE ONE!

we’ll see what HE picks πŸ™‚

When I was waiting, I knew the jeweler had posted my ring on his blog where he posts custom designs…. and you better believe I stalked that puppy til the day it was on my finger. Hell, the page is STILL bookmarked and I STILL look at it sometimes hehe.

Unfortunately not as my ring is a custom so no photos, only memories! I do however look at my ideas folder hidden in the pictures file with wedding ideas to keep me sane every so often..

I don’t have any rings bookmarked on my computer. We went shopping together so he knows which style I like but we didn’t find THE RING that trip and he gets the final say in what it looks like, so it’s a complete mystery. I actually like it that way. Less for me to obsess over!

I definitely have a file of my photo-shopped custom design at the ready whenever I want to look at it.  Surprisingly, though, once I showed SO and said “this is what I want”, it was a major relief.  Before, I was looking at rings constantly (browsed thousands, literally).  Now, it’s in his hands and I only look at it once every couple weeks.  I have no idea if he is in the process of having it made, or if he’ll eventually go off the map and get something different, but putting my dream ring onto paper was majorly therapeutic!

Hypothetical ring porn (with multiple center stone options; pardon the large photo):

I have a few favorites and I look at the way too often! πŸ™‚

I don’t have a specific ring bookmarked, because I want him to pick it out based off of my style suggestions!  If I had a specific one and looked at it everyday, I wouldn’t know what to do when I get one that looks different, but would be all so perfect.

But every day or so I do look at a few of my favorites.

I have a folder on my desktop labeled “custom.” It’s just an a$$ load of pics of rings that all have aspects of my apparently non-existent dream ring. πŸ™‚ My guy took a bunch of pics from it and put them onto his own desktop so if I’m not around to talk to a jeweler (he works CONSTANTLY) he can take the call and knows what to tell them. We’re custom making it at the moment. After searching since May, we’ve come to realize that what we’re in love with hasn’t yet been created by a jeweler. Sigh… πŸ™‚

We’re trying to make a split shank halo with open sides, no undercarriage, for an elongated cushion. Easier said than found. πŸ™‚

And don’t worry. Looking at a ring isn’t bad luck. πŸ™‚

I think you should definitely post a picture!

I had already bookmarked a couple of vintage ring dealers that I found online. I had somewhat of an idea what I was looking for, but I wasn’t sure. Now after actually trying some on and shopping around I have a much better idea. I hope he does too!

Mine is bookmarked and posted to the toolbar on my laptop with the label “DREAM RING” just in case he happens to see…. =P
