I love this post!!! I do a gratitude journal every day. Here are some of the things I wrote today:
-I get to marry the love of my life in a few months
-I have a supportive, loving, and thoughtful partner who always has my back
-I have two wonderful and happy dogs
-I have a place to call home
-I currently have a lovely Christmas tree!
-I have a job that allows me to work from home, so I can take care of our dogs easily
-I work for a company that cares about all its team members
-I am physically healthy
-I can walk to the beach, even if it’s December and I live in Canada!
-I know how to cook healthy meals for myself
-I have extended family and my fiance’s family that love and support me, even when my own parents are abusive and disrespectful
-I have a beautiful baby niece that I get to spoil at her first Christmas
-I have daily habits that allow me to get the most out of life – meditation, gratitude journaling, yoga, self-reflection
-I love and accept myself the way I am

I’m happy today because:
– My wonderful parents watch my son every day while I’m at work and I know they’re just having the best time with him, and vice versa!
– My son is obsessed with our Christmas tree and I love seeing his face light up when I turn it on every day
– My husband is doing well at his new job <3
– My back feels better (I have herniated discs and was worried it would be feeling bad for a while)
– Coffee exists and is readily available!

I’m happy because I’m home this weekend after travelling a lot, and have no plans except relaxing with my dog and husband and being a couch potato. I’m also happy because the sun is shining and it’s gloriously warm.

I’m happy because even though I have a horribly painful and heavy period, I’m snuggled up in bed with a cup of tea and Darling Husband just brought me scrambled eggs for breakfast and we’re gonna have a lazy day together. Plus it’s grey outside so don’t need to feel guilty for staying in!

This is the first year that we are hosting Christmas Eve dinner in our house.
