@kateisstoned:  I think your hobbies sound great!  It’s amazing how people want to put you in a box because you may want to do something that others don’t approve of.  I bet you appreciate your garden, your hikes and everything you do outside 10x more than if you didn’t smoke because I am sure it makes you appreciate it more and stop and just look around.  Some people seriously need to do that…Just Stooooop and look around….see how small they are compared to the world, nooow take a deep breath and stop judging people..:)

@kateisstoned:  I am really sorry you have expereinced such rude bees on this thread. I know that this is an old post, but I am still surprised at the negativity and judgement.

@kateisstoned:  Like groovy. Maybe you can get some of those hemp flavored lollipops they sell in Amsterdam as favors.

@cantonbride:  That’s unfortunate that the people where you are from are stupid about it.  But I know plenty of people who smoke it and are extremely productive.  I don’t smoke it myself but my cousin smokes it daily and it makes her so productive its ridiculous.  She’ll smoke and then go on a cleaning rampage.  I also have a friend who has a severe anxiety disorder, he’s tried meds and none of them worked.  He smokes now and its helped him considerably.

I’m not sure about menstrual cramps being treated by medicinal marijuana but I know that its been proven to help with migraines.  I used to work in a nursing home on the alzheimers unit and I think they should be given medicinal marijuana.  It would calm them when they are agitated and it would improve their appetite.  Too many alzheimers patients forget to eat, or don’t eat because they think they have just eaten etc.  Its really sad.  I’m not saying they should be stoned but just enough to get them calm and help them maintain a healthy weight.

She’s no longer a member here… probably because people were so rude and judgey 🙁 It’s unfortunate because she probably had a lot of really good ideas to share with people!!

@FutureDrAtkins:  That really is unfortunate. I didn’t look through the 8 pages of comments, but i did see people commenting on how judgemental others were being. It is really sad on such a small minute (and personal) touch to her wedding.

Topic aside, yes i bet she did have some great, unique ideas that others could have benefit from.

Some people are just very close minded. For shame pot smokers!! lol

@FutureDrAtkins:  I’m behind hahaha I didn’t even notice that this thread was from 8 months ago!  That is sad.  Just because one person likes something doesn’t mean they should judge that person.  I mean its not like she posted “I give my 2 month old baby crack cocaine”.  It was her personal decision to enjoy that particular activity.  It didn’t hurt anyone.

I really do not know how many times we can have this discussion/long drawn out argument on the bee. Some people feel strongly one way, others feel strongly another. We’ll never agree. Sheesh.

@FutureDrAtkins:  Its ok I was giggling myself as I wrote it.  Honestly I wish all the states would just legalize it, it would actually help the economy because they can tax it.  Plus there are MUCH worse things legalized.  If you knew what was in soda, fried foods, alcohol, cigarettes, coffee etc it would shock you.  But to each their own I guess.  Pot is “taboo” for some people while alcohol isn’t.  I’ve never seen a person come through the ER because they overdosed on pot.  I’ve seen numerous people come in to the ER because of alcohol poisoning, ulcers created by too much coffee or soda or bad for you foods, and people who want narcotics, I’ve even seen people come into the DRS OFFICE drunk!

Sorry but this thread was made purely for attention. It is sad that people think it is cool to smoke marijuana – sounds like high school mentality to me.

@BridalBeckyBee:  Just curious – do you drink? If so, how is smoking marijuana any different? I don’t personally smoke but I don’t mind when other people do and I certainly wouldn’t say that they do it ‘just for attention’. I think judging other people for what they choose to do is indicative of a ‘high school mentality’.

The medicinal properties and safety of marijuana have been scientifically proven and the law is finally starting to catch up – this is a good thing! It’s not like states couldn’t use the tax revenue and I don’t think that some of us would complain about having another legal way to relax after a long day! 😉
