@kateisstoned:  love the idea, wish I could have done it! I’m a huge supporter of legal marijuanna, especially since becoming pregnant and having to stop and start on anti epileptics which are causing me tro be useless in life. I left Colorado right before they medicinally legalized, to a criminal state, which sucks.

another “stoner bee” temporarily off the stone until I have the baby and am done breast feeding. Hopefully by that time it will be at least decriminalized here

@Sassyfras27:  I was wondering the same. Both are intoxicants. Neither is going to harm you if used in moderation, responsibly (i.e., not while driving, operating heavy machinery, making important decisions, etc).

I would not smoke weed if you paid me. Ugh. But I dislike even more the ignorance that so many people smugly parade when asked about this drug. It’s pretty easy to tell who, among us, would have been a skeptic of Prohibition, and who would have been a teetotaling temperance fanatic, yelling far and wide about how one sip of alcohol could turn a good, honest young man into a slobbering, vicious drunk.

I feel so bad for OP! I’m not a fan of stoner culture AT ALL but I think she had the right to receive gentle replies to her excited idea for using a cannabis leaf in her bouquet. I hope she wasn’t driven away by the shrewish reactions of catty and uneducated posters…

@calendula:  Responsible use in moderation – exactly! I actually read somewhere, and fully believe, that more deaths and crimes are responsible due to alcohol relative to cannabis. I think even if marijuana were to be fully legalized (thus allowing more people access to it), this would still be true. I’ve seen friends commit a wide range of bad decisions and try to fight people from being drunk, but all of my stoner friends just want to chill out and eat a pizza! What’s so dangerous about that? 🙂

Ok. What I don’t get is …OP why do you always make a big deal out of weed? 😛 Its 2013 in most places it really isn’t a big deal. It reminds me of my younger brother whose always telling me how cool he is cause he smokes weed. Ive smoked weed with ppl that are grandmothers. A lot of ppl do. Its fine if you want it in your bouquet. You don’t always need to feel you have to defend it before anyone even attacks you on it 😛

I’m so confused as to why some people are being so snotty to the OP – she’s excited about doing something different, big deal. I am also from Colorado – I do not smoke marijuana (just not my thing) but come on, no need for all the judgy comments, people!

@gelaine22:  Nope. it was on newest posts so I didnt bother checking to see if someone has resurrected it from the past, either way, seems like a way to get attention imo.

@cantonbride:   I’ve never smoked marihuana, regular cigarettes because they totally disgust me… The thought, the smell.. Heck I haven’t even been drunk once. BUT your statement of every person you know who uses it is lazy and a leech is either a cultural thing or just your experience because hell, some of the people I know that smoke are lawyers, an architect, a surveyor, an engineer, a doctor and a publicist. All very successful and they in no way fall under your description. Sure I also know college kids that smoke pot, but all these highly successful professionals also started as college kids!

I don’t do drugs. Hell I even hate using the drugs that the doctor prescribes ( yes, they ARE drugs. Legal, but still drugs). But to each its own, especially in a place where it’s legal. OP, I am glad that whatever the cure or the fix, your disorder feels a bit more under control. As the sister of a bipolar sibling, I know life is no fun and pretty when you are feeling so terrible. People have no clue what it is like. If cannabis makes you happy and feel better and it is legal in your state, them good for you. Enjoy your wedding, marriage and may you feel stable and have a balanced life. Take care and have fun. You only get to live once and it sucks to live in a dark and scary mental place. Hugs
