I had second thoughts as well. See my previous post. Some people on here didnt like my dress or aspects of it and to me that was actually helpful because I found myself almost defending my dress and selection.

Wedding dresses are such a personal pick! I think you look gorgeous in it!

I LOVE the dress itself, but I’m not crazy about the straps.

I definitely see why you fell for this dress. Your body looks amazing in it. Are the straps something that you love about the dress? I don’t care for them, and think they detract from dress’ simple beauty. I think it would be much nicer as a strapless sweetheart. Then you could actually wear jewelry with it.

lacepetals :  dress looks stunning! 😍 (Probably a little bias as it looks quite like my own 😊) but I would second loosing or switching out the straps for lace ones if your not in love with them. I think changing to lace could definitely define more to a vintage type of dress!

You could have the straps removed easily, or changed out for simpler ones. Then have it altered a bit to fit your waist correctly. After you have all of the details together you will likely stop second guessing it. I think a lot of us have done this same thing!

Well I love the straps ( why turn it into yet another strapless sweetheart mermaid). If you find  them too much , perhaps lose the pearls? that come  down over your upper arms and just leave the shoulder straps part.

Ideally ,  I would  leave the straps just  as they  are – not the least reason being that you have beautiful smooth shoulders and upper arms, which look lovely with those  unique straps  –  and wear , as you seem to be doing in the pic, just a single pearl or crystal  on a chain if you really want a necklace .

You could always remove the straps as well; or at least the pearl drops on them. If you decide to leave the dress as it I would recommend not to wear a necklace, I think the pearls straps are plenty enough for both your chest and shoulders! Either simple pearl stud earrings or pearl drop earrings that would match the straps would look great! 🙂
