Some of you may have read my ‘Woe is me’ dress posts, and my “Argh…why aren’t there any cute shoes??” shoe posts, and my “These earrings just are working”, and my “how to choose a veil” posts previously. Well, this is my THANK YOU to all of you that have given your support and advice.
I visited my dress last night, and am in LOVE with her once again!! <3 I came to final decisions that I will be altering the neckline to sweetheart, and shortening the train by about a foot to foot and a half (making it more of a sweep than a chapel) I did a shoe trial, and we are set with the blue ones!! <3 Did an earring trial, and LOVE the new pair I found! <3. Also did a little something to my hair piece (added some tulle), and made the decision that I am going veil-less (just seems more me). <3
So, one last question regarding the attire (or maybe there will be more)… Anyone have experience with altering a neckline when a dress has a built in corset? My FCIL (future cousin in law) is a really great amateur seamstress (I would totally have her work on my dress if she didn’t live in NYC), and when here visiting she said “No problem changing a neckline”, but when she looked at my dress (with my Future Mother-In-Law, I wasn’t there), Future Mother-In-Law said she went “(insert face that means, that could be tough here). Anyone done this with success?
Here are some pics my sister snapped while we were playing dress up.
(Please forgive that I have to hold the dress in place.. can’t wait until she is altered)

@Evie19: It is Moonlight Bridal. I cannot find a picture of it anywhere online. I think it is from their 2010 (or maybe even 2009) collections. I found it on the sale rack of a very small boutique outside of the city I live in, she wanted to clear out her stock to bring in new 2011’s.
@totheislnds: Mine is a zipper back also, but there is a corset built into the bodice, so the neckline is thicker than just the material of the dress. Does that make sense?
Thanks everyone!! I am still smiling this morning. 🙂

@Ayslinn87: Yay!! Hi shoe twin (I finally have a tiwn!!) 🙂 So funny, my Future Father-In-Law last night while I was picking shoes was firmly in the traditional silver pair camp, sorry Future Father-In-Law. 🙁 My Fiance is convinced I am wearing, in his words “Some kind of wacky blue dress”. I love the shoes too…so happy to have found them!!!
