As a plus sized brides I’ve gotten very frusturated at some places and had incredible experiences at others! Alfred Angelo was one of those incredible places and the 2010 Cinderella Dress had been my dream dress long before I was engaged. I finally got to try it on-well clipped into a too small size-last week and everyone started getting emotional and they all think its the one! I do too but would love some honest opinions! I am one of my worst critics and I hate feeling so self-conscious!! We’re having a winter wonderland/Christmas Elegance theme wedding in December of 2014. It’s a church wedding with a formal venue in NJ! Love my venue and never thought I could have it, but that’s another post.
So what do guys think of the dress and I keep leaning towards adding a sash. Did anyone do that with the Cinderella dress? Oh and I’m not ordering till the fall to make myself drop some more weight. Already down 10-yipee! Oh and ill have a floor length veil and am thinking embillished head piece. Ill put a pic of the one I’m leaning towards here too. Sorry no pics of the back. Too many clips and back showing
Sorry for the giant photos and wrong way ones-I’m not too good at uploading pics yet

@megs102: You look so happy! I say wear what makes you feel beautiful, and that dress is very flattering. As for the sash, I would have to see it as I’m having trouble envisioning it with the ruching at the waist line where it meets the tulle – is that where you would place it? What did you have in mind?

@megs102: I have seen several other bees who wore the Cinderella dress with sashes. I think it looks lovely either way. You look lovely in the dress, my dear.

LOVE the dress – you look great! don’t think it needs a sash – maybe just because i can’t picture it with a sash. I say BUY IT

Thank You Bees! I really appreciate your advice and feel so much better! I was thinking the sash where the tulle met the satin but am thinking definitely not now. I don’t want to take away from how much I love my dress!!!

I love it! And it’ll look even better when its in the right size. I dont like the sash idea though. I feel like it has enough going on already.

Beautiful! It’s perfect without a sash.

The dress looks AMAZING on you.
I wore the same dress last August, it’s so beautiful. I did add a sash. Feel free to go back and look at my posts to see my dress with the sash. It’s beautiful with or without.

I LOVE THAT DRESS, i loved it i went to davids bridal and tried on over 20dresses then i found one that i loved but i couldnt get the Cinderella dress out of my head! we drove over an hour to try on one dress! then drove all the way back to davids bridal to make sure what dress i really wanted! UGH you know when you find your dress- i thought they were all just saying that but you really know! Did you go for the white or ivory Cinderella dress? did you get the one with the sparkles on the skirt? I tried on the Ivory with the sparkle skirt. She also showed me wih a few bling sashes- AMAZING some looked perfect but then im just a very plane so its all what you feel – with this dress i would only do a”bling” sash rather then just a plain one. i think a basic color would take away from the dress but if you go blig dont go overboard. its a simple dress you dont want to over power it with just a sash. PLEASE more photos 🙂 ill see if i can find mine in this dress (after i got them home i saved them deep in the computer so Fiance cant find them lol ) oh and congrads on the weight loss, what are you doing? Ive been on Weight Watchers for about 7mts and lost about 20lbs – and has surgury in that time so i have to get back on WW ..lol keep up the good work!

You fellow bees are amazing! Thank you so much for making me feel so much better! I’m such an insecure person to start with! All I want is for my fiancé to be wowed and to look beautiful!
@Lyndzo you looked amazing in the dress! I loved seeing another bride in it!!!
@ AndysCraftsNmore I kept thinkinf ivory all the way-wouldn’t even consider white because I’m so pale and have blond hair. Then I was trying on the dress with my sister and my Mom and had just an amazing experience! It was a weekday bc I’m a teacher and was on sprimy break. The store let me try on several veils and headpieces and I held up the ivory one, which I loved! But then they turned out the lights since most of my wedding will be at night and the white one blew everyone away!!! I’m absolutely getting the sparkly skirt too! It’s one of my favorite parts! Plus the white goes with my winter theme too well 🙂 If I did a sash I was thinking bling but am shying away from that now! I would love to see pics. Yep I’m doing WW too 🙂
