- Wedding: September 2011
But I’m also a MRS.!!!!!
I’m just gonna give you a quick low down on the rehearsal which we did the Wednesday before)-
It went awesome, everyone loved their gifts, the food was fantastic and a few of the Wedding Party hung out after and may have drank a bit too much and stayed up a bit too late. Because decorating our massive venue EARLY the next morning made for a very long day.
Sooo, some news: We spent THIRTEEN HOURS (yes, 13!!) decorating our reception venue the day before the wedding and it came out perfectly. It was seriously everything I envisioned and more. I could never have pulled it off without all the help from family and friends. BUT, to the reeeeally good part… A wedding coordinator came to check out the space on Friday while we girls were all getting pretty and my dad was at the venue site.
She spoke to my dad about a wedding she would be doing there in 3 weeks, and also told him she wanted to buy ALL the wood slices, all my burlap banners, all the burlap runners, and the big mason jars!!! I can’t tell you how pumped we were and how much of a compliment it was!She loved it all! And the venue coordinators said it was the prettiest decor they’d seen in years.
Here’s a sneak peak from my MOH’s iphone from when we were ALMOST finished decorating ( the candles aren’t lit and the cafe lights aren’t on, but I still love this photo!) 🙂
As far as my nerves the night before….
I’m not gonna lie, the nerves got to me quite a bit the night before. Fiance and I went through periods of being nervous that week, but the night before was the kicker.
When my Maid/Matron of Honor and I stayed at my parents we remedied our nerves with some nostalgia and old pictures, and a little of this
I couldn’t hardly sleep that night. It took a looong time before I finally drifted off.
Then that next morning my nerves had set in so badly that I had to have my dad go get me lil’ of this:
But, I want to say it was the best day! The weather was perfect, a partly sunny day with temps in the upper 60’s.
There were no major problems, or hang ups…. All the Wedding Party behaved (lol) as well as the kids.
I was prone to instances of crying throughout the day, but as soon as those doors opened in the church and I saw my groom standing at the end smiling and waiting for me all I could do was feel utter excitement! I cheesed from ear to ear all the way down the aisle!
Hey guys… I’M MARRIED!
We have a ton of guest pics, but I’m waiting to show you the pro’s.
