My faithful Dell laptop of 5 years died. So, I was looking for a new laptop and Darling Husband bought a Sony Vaio T-Series (there was a deal) for me. I know, I know…Sony isn’t the most reliable but just out of curiosity, what’s your computer/PC’s brand?
Update 4:37pm: Oh, wow! There are so many Macbooks. My sisters and their boyfriends are trying to get me to return the laptop and go get the Macbook. lol
I was looking at Lenovo, too. The particular model I was looking at had abysmal reviews for some reason.

My laptops have always been HP and they have never let me down.

MacBook Pro, here. Love it, never turning back to a PC! Darling Husband has an ASUS and really likes it.

I built my own computer, so, it has no “brand”. The case model is an Asus, though.

@CherryWaves: We’re twins! lol SO has an ASUS and loves it and I have a MacBook 🙂

I’ve never had a ThinkPad let me down (back when they were made by IBM or my Lenovo now).
I also had an HP tablet computer (as in a computer that had a touchscreen and stylus and the screen flipped around to lay flat if you wanted…not as in the tablets they sell now like iPad etc, but a real computer) that lasted me a solid 5 years before the hinge connecting the screen to the keyboard broke (but the computer itself still worked perfectly) after 5 years of constant abuse (I was in college and would fall asleep with the computer in bed, kick it off the bed, almost every night…whoopsies)

I have a MacBook as well as a PC desktop that Darling Husband built for me, so that one has no brand.

@mmr66: Hah! Nice! Do you guys have the “mine’s better than yours” arguements? It seems more often than not I’m complaining to Darling Husband how slow his Asus is…

I’m an Apple geek. MacBook here. =)

My parents got me a Macbook in November ’08 as an early Christmas/grad present. I had always used PC before that, but I am a *total* convert now. I loved that thing.
Four years later, the thing works as well as the day we bought it. My dad split the cost of a new Macbook Pro with me about a year ago and in return I gave him my original Macbook.
He uses it every single day to run his real estate rentals, e-mails, the internet, Microsoft Word/Excel, the works. And he hasn’t had a single problem with it, even though it’s four years old now.
ETA: My Fiance had a Macbook Pro for a couple of years, and then also got a Toshiba almost two years ago. At first he was all obsessed with his Toshiba, but now it gives him such a headache that he only uses it for the programs that he absolutely can only run on the PC. For everything else he uses his 4-year-old MBP.

@mnp: Sony Vaio.
I actually love it. Had it for 3 years and it went through 2.5 years of heavy duty college use very well.

Toshiba 🙂 Before that I had an Acer that lasted a good 4 years.

Fiance has built both of our computers (and the few computers before as well).
However, at work we use Dell. They’ve always been really great for us but if I had to choose a brand, I’d probably go with HP just because they’ve been so great for me in the past.

I have a new samsung and i LOVE it. It looks awesome and runs great at 1/2 the cost of a mac (which I have also had)
