@thisisbrucebanner:  Doesn’t look professional (it is cute but not what I’d expect if you pay a designer). Looks like you could have easily done it yourself.

I think that the pattern they used for the background is kind of…. off to me? It just doesn’t scream formal wedding to me. If it is paid for then I wouldn’t stress about it too much, worry about the things you can change and brush off the things that you can’t 🙂

I think that the save the dates you put together look FABULOUS by the way.

Background pattern for sure. The rest looks elegant and it looks….like wallpaper?

Also, why are you appologizing right on the front of the invite for mispellings and typos? Nix that! Even with a typo, it will look nicer without a disclaimer.

I don’t think its a “mess”, but it does look much more formal than your STD. There are multiple patterns going on, and from your STD it seems like you like a more simple design. Like pps said, if its paid, don’t worry about it. Honestly it kind of sounds like you may not be completely on board with the more formal ceremony in the first place, so that may have a sour taste in your mouth about it all? Anyways, they aren’t terrible so if changes can’t be made, I wouldn’t stress yourself out!

That blue background is so pale that it gives the whole suite a washed-out look. I feel that it would look more refined if you had at least one pop of color in there.

Either change the pale blue to a saturated teal/turquoise color, or change the soft brown color of the text (and the other decorative elements) to a rich chocolate brown.

If they are already paid for and printed, just ignore them as best you can and take comfort in your awesome Save-The-Dates!

Love your save the dates!

These invites look like a bridal shower invite, to me. They don’t scream formal wedding. Heck, your STD’s in black would look more formal. Can you change the colors? Make some that match or resemble save the date?

Curious why didn’t you just match it all for the same look? Different theme?

Wow I love your Save the Dates! I can see why you’re not so thrilled with these… doesn’t seem like you style at all. Its very…shabby chic? At least thats what the floral/vine design puts into my mind.

I agree that it is the floral design.  The rest is gorgeous.  Can it be changed to a solid dark blue or something?  And maybe change the shape of the oval to whatever that shape is of the rectangle with the concave corners?

@thisisbrucebanner:  Based on your save the dates you are into a more simple but modern look.  I can see the invites are similar to those seal and send type but the designing elements gives a more vintage or shabby chic look.

The disclaimer is definately not needed and I would remove that.

If it is not too late to make changes I would change the pattern background and make the colors rich like the save the dates. Something like this:

@thisisbrucebanner:  I think that looks much nicer! Just changing the background makes a huuuuge difference
