@FutureMrs.browneyes:  Ugh! Totally creepy!  In my last apt complex I just took my laundry down the street to the laundromat because our laundry room was so sketchy.

That is creepy! I would probably pretend to be on the phone with DH and make it sound like he was in our apartment and knew I was in the laundry room, lol. May sound over the top but maybe carry pepper spray or something with you just to ease your mind a bit?

Oh man!  That sounds creepy!  Definitely have the maintenence guy walk you over.

I’ve had guys actually grab my hand or arm at my apartment complex, but we don’t live in a great area.  I refuse to go out after dark by myself anymore, even just walking to my car.

How old was the guy? Personally, I would have struck up a conversation with the guy, you can tell a lot more about a person’s intentions based on their voice than facial expressions.  It could be that he was just an awkward individual.  If you’re all that worried about it take the maintenance man up on his offer, you can also ask your complex what security measures they have for those types of places.  I lived in an apartment in college where the mail boxes were in the dark hallway, and someone could have easily hidden there, so we asked them to install a light for when people got their mail at night, so they added one with a motion sensor– it worked much better, and made us all feel more comfortable about walking there in the evenings.

@FutureMrs.browneyes:  Wow, that’s crazy expensive!  The one near my old apt was the same price as the one in the complex. I would definitely take the maintence guy up on his offer to walk you over there!

Ugggh. That is so creepy. I could totally see that happening in my laundry room. I would be freaked out too. Can you go buy yourself some mace or something? I carried it in my hand all the time when I was growing up when the crime rate was really high in the city. It gave me peace of mind. I did use it once, on a dog that came out of nowhere and lunged at me. It definitely works.
